New fan art reimagines Keanu Reeves' John Wick as a variety of characters, including Kermit and a Smurf. Back in 2014, John Wick became the best kind of sleeper hit: A wholly original story that scored positive reviews and became a box office success. The premise behind John Wick is simple: A retired hitman (Reeves) gets back in the game when the son of a crime boss kills his dog. So far, John Wick has spawned two sequels, with each one becoming a bigger financial success and expanding the universe in interesting ways. Now, Reeves can count Wick as one of his most iconic characters.

John Wick 4 is already in the works, though progress has been slowed by the coronavirus pandemic. The film was initially scheduled for on March 21, 2021, which would have put it in direct competition with another Reeves film, The Matrix 4. However, when production on The Matrix 4 saw itself delayed, John Wick 4 had no choice to be pushed back as well, since Reeves had yet to begin work on it. As of right now, John Wick 4 is slated for release on May 27, 2022.

With Wick now having become a modern-day action icon, fans often have fun with combining him with other beloved characters. For example, Wick recently became Green Lantern in some DC art. Now, however, artist MJ Hiblen has created "Multiverse Wick": Three different John Wicks in three different universes. If you've ever wanted to see Wick as Kermit, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, or a Smurf, this is the art for you. Check them out in the space below.

In a way, John Wick already has spurred a universe of his own. With the films opening up the world of assassins, there are several avenues available for spin-off projects. In fact, one is already in the works: The Continental, a television series centered on the hotel from the films that serves as a home base for assassins. There hasn't been many updates about The Continental in a while, but there's a chance it could arrive closer to John Wick 4.

John Wick signaled the start of Reeves' resurgence in pop culture, which is still going on today and is bringing Reeves back to his most iconic roles. In addition to John Wick 4 and The Matrix 4, Reeves has the comedy Bill & Ted Face the Music (potentially) arriving in August. Plus, there are some who want to see him return as John Constantine in a new DC film. At this point, Reeves has enough beloved characters for his own multiverse too; perhaps Hollywood should find a way to bring them all together, just for the fun of it.
