I have a feeling that Transformers 2 won’t have the “sequel fire” problem, but only because the special effects will blow everything out of the water.

MISTER DIRECTOR MIKE BAY..I KNOW YOU WANT PROFFESSIONAL ACTORS DOING VOICES FOR CHARACTERS THAT HAD VOICES WE WERE ALREADY COMFORTABLE WITH FROM IN THE CARTOON, YOU TOOK CREATIVE LICENSE AND CHANGED UP VOICES, OPTIMUS REMAINED THE SAME, THATS GOOD..BUT ALL THE OTHER VOICES-SUCKED-AND YOU THINK THESE VOICES WITH THE STUPIDEST WIERD ACCENTS WERE BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL VOICES? YOUR TRIPPING HARD. BUMBLE BEE SOUNDED LIKE THE MONOPOLY GAME GUY AND IRONHIDE HAD THE STUPIDEST ACCENT, RACHET WAS BAREABLE..SAM ELLIOT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN AWSOME IRONHIDE VOICE AND MICHEAL J FOX WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD VOICE FOR BUMBLEBEE, YEAH..BE CREATIVE BUT YOU SHOULD DO THE VOICES JUSTICE…WHAT THE 1ST MOVIE HAD FOR VOICES WAS BS.REALLY.

Would seeing this in IMAX make it suck any less? I mean the first had action scenes going so fast that I could barely make out what was going on…, but it did have some real slow scenes too. And unfortunately most of them had John Turturro in them. Agent Simmons is the type of character that is used for filler, so if ya put him in this one, please kill him off!
Maybe he dons a robotic suit and becomes Jetfire’s headmaster- just a thought, and that’s why he gets to voice both.

While it might point to Turturro voicing ‘Jetfire’, it doesn’t give a definitive answer whether he is or is not. I will be lining up for this movie just the same to take it on face value as it should be.

With every new leak of information on this movie, my decision to avoid it like the plague is further solidified.

Turturo was the “Jar Jar Binks” of the first film which showcased at least three “Binks” level performances (Anthony Anderson and Jon Voight were close behind).

That would surely save on the FX budget.

I hope a lot of the “spoilers” inj this article are BS, but sadly probably not. Sounds like some of the bots have more personality tho… isn’t that much of what people complained about? All we need now is Optimus saying the word “masterbation” and the movie will suck as everyone feared.

Turturro has been fantastic in the past and one of my favourite actors – especially loved him in Miller’s Crossing and the Big Lebowski and Do the Right Thing.

This though… Urgh. It’s so beneath him it has to be just a paycheck to him. Really hope so.

it would be funny to see a Live action Exact adabtation of the 1980 Transformers Movie.
but 4 john i say …..eh ,.
o well i think the Constant dismebering autobot and the twins are gunna be a Little to MUCH Comic Relief.
Bay has stray’d Way far from the Tv show.
or at least the enjoyable asbects of Tramsformers in the 80’s.

but what so i know .
it’ll probly make a huge chunk of change.

Just about any review for the movie I’ve read or even glimpsed at has said that they hated that character. I didn’t like the character by any means and could have easily done without him but I didn’t cringe when he was on the screen. Maybe it’s just been a while since I’ve seen it or I was able to tolerate him more than others cause I don’t remember him being that bad.
