IMHO Carpenter hasn't made a good movie since Big Trouble in 85 Vampires was a huge letdown - just wasn't that great - but at least it wasn't as bad as the book it was based on lol Don't ask me what he was after with the Ghosts of Mars...... They converted one of our old administration buildings into the lobby of the "Ward". A big chunk of it was also filmed at the psychiatric hospital less than 10 miles from where I live, see: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~asylums/medlake_wa/index.html. Right when I got off work I decided to do a little snooping. I found a door that wasn't being guarded but was covered with black paper. When I opened it i was standing about 4 feet from Carpenter himself, facing away from me, arms up in the air, appearing to be framing a shot from one of the entrances!
