Next month will see the launch of Jessica Jones, the second of Marvel's announced Netflix series. Attendees of New York Comic-Con 2015 were treated to an advanced screening of the first episode, which earned highly positive reviews and spiked anticipation for the series.

We already know that characters like Luke Cage and Patsy Walker will have a major role in the series, but we're always hoping for a little bit more. Jessica Jones has crossed paths with plenty of Marvel's iconic characters, so it's only fitting that a few make an appearance in her live-action debut.  Whether it's for expanded continuity or just to introduce some well-deserving characters to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, these are who we're hoping to see this November.

Here are Screen Rant's 10 Character We Want to See in Jessica Jones:

Turk

Turk Barrett is a small-time criminal who manages to always be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He spends most of his time at Josie’s Bar in Hell’s Kitchen, where he is frequently targeted by Daredevil as a source of information. Turk is always trying to get ahead, so he’s almost always involved in the various criminal schemes taking place in Hell’s Kitchen.

Turk made his debut in Daredevil earlier this year and is a major character in the recently released Jessica Jones prequel comic. He would be a good character to introduce in all of Netflix’s Marvel series, serving to tie the four shows together, similar to Rosario Dawson’s character, Claire Temple. His small-time status coupled with his ambition would allow him to take part in any criminal scheme and inevitably bring him face-to-face with one of the heroes of Hell’s Kitchen.

Matt Murdock

The titular star of Daredevil, Matt Murdock is also the co-founder of the law firm Nelson & Murdock. While the first season of Daredevil didn’t place a heavy emphasis on his role as a lawyer, it’s a vital aspect of his character and something Mark Waid and Chris Samnee have emphasized in their remarkable Daredevil run.

With Jessica Jones working as a private investigator in Hell’s Kitchen, it’s easy to see Matt coming into her life just as easily as his alter ego. In the comics, he actually hires Jessica to work as his bodyguard for a time. While the show likely won’t take that angle, Matt might hire her to help him work a case. Or, he might have to come to her legal aid at some point, as a favor to an old friend. Jones is done with the superhero life, so it would be good to see them working together outside of the costumes rather than in some kind of superhero team-up.

Clay Quartermain

Clay Quartermain is a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent who has close ties to Nick Fury. He also worked with the U.S. Military in their attempt to capture The Hulk, giving him firsthand experience in trying to fight The Avengers’ heaviest hitter. The character has been romantically involved with Jessica Jones and served as the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Paranormal Containment Unit, where the villainous Zebidiah Killgrave -AKA the Purple Man - was imprisoned.

Quartermain is an obvious choice for the series, as he could bridge the Netflix universe with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The character hasn’t yet been introduced in the MCU, so he could make an appearance here before going on to have a role in other projects. His ties to Jessica’s past would allow for further exploration of her state of mind and the events that led to her giving up her superhero identity.

Scott Lang

Scott Lang, recently portrayed by Paul Rudd in Ant-Man, is the second incarnation of Ant-Man. A reformed criminal, Lang stole the Ant-Man suit from Hank Pym, but used it to do some good. Impressed, Pym let him keep the suit. The character is later set up on a date with Jessica Jones by Carol Danvers, and the two date for some time. Their relationship ultimately fizzles out, but the two overcome some unexpected hardships caused by none other than Zebediah Killgrave.

Admittedly, the odds of seeing Paul Rudd show up in Jessica Jones are slim. Given the state of the Ant-Man/Wasp relationship, Scott Lang isn’t likely to be found on a blind date with Jessica Jones anytime soon. However, given Scott’s relationship with Jessica throughout the Alias comic and his growing importance to the MCU, he would be the ideal cameo from the films. It would be fan service, but it could also serve as another small bridge to the larger Marvel landscape.

Jonah Jameson

Jameson is predominantly recognized as a Spider-Man character, but he’s an important presence in Marvel continuity. He’s served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Bugle as well as the Mayor of New York City, and currently works for another fictional publication called the Fact Channel. At one point, he and his wife adopt a young girl named Mattie Franklin – the third incarnation of Spider-Woman.

Jameson’s relationship with Jessica Jones starts when he hires her to discover Spider-Man’s secret identity. She takes the job, expensing things to the Daily Bugle while actively not searching for Spider-Man. Later, Jessica ends up rescuing the kidnapped Mattie Franklin and Jameson becomes an advocate for the private investigator, advertising her firm and eventually hiring her as a reporter.

It’s no secret that Spider-Man is joining the MCU in Captain America: Civil War. However, that doesn’t mean that other Spider-Man characters can’t appear prior to that. Jameson fits with the mature tone of Alias and has a long history with the major characters. Having him appear in the show could not only lay some groundwork for future Spider-Man projects, but help prep the MCU for Tom Holland’s arrival in 2016.

Jessica Drew

Jessica Drew, who also goes by the superhero name Spider-Woman, has had a surprisingly complex history. She’s served as a S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, a spy for Nick Fury, a spy for the villainous Hydra, and an Avenger. She was even kidnapped and replaced by the shapeshifting Skrull Queen Veranke for a number of months as the Skrulls prepared to invade Earth. Interestingly enough, she also dropped her superhero career to become a private investigator at one point in time.

Spider-Woman’s transition to a detective mirrors Jessica Jones, making her an easy fit with the show's exploration of superhero identity. She could serve as an adviser, an ally, or even an adversary if the two were competing to solve a similar case. The characters also have a shared history, with them teaming up at one point to rescue the kidnapped Mattie Franklin – J. Jonah Jameson’s adopted daughter. If a version of that storyline finds its way into the series, it would easily allow for Drew’s introduction into the MCU. From there, she could jump to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or the upcoming spinoff, Marvel’s Most Wanted.

Misty Knight

Misty Knight served as a police officer with the NYPD until she was seriously injured on the job. Her right arm had to be amputated, which led to her resignation from the force. Tony Stark provides her with a bionic arm that gifts her with superhuman strength and she eventually starts a private detective agency with her friend Coleen Wing. It’s through her work that she eventually meets Danny Rand and Luke Cage, often assisting their Heroes for Hire team.

Misty Knight is already set to appear in Luke Cage, played by Simone Missick. With Luke Cage already confirmed to play a role in Jessica Jones, it would be nice to see this supporting character as well. She doesn’t necessarily need a big scene to introduce her either. With Jessica’s career as a private investigator, she’s undoubtedly going to be crossing paths with a few of New York’s Finest. A nod to Officer Knight would be a great Easter Egg for longtime fans.

Danny Rand

Danny Rand, AKA Iron Fist, is a martial arts master as well as the champion of the mystical city K’un-Lun. His powers allow him to harness his chi and enhance his abilities, a skill granted to him after he bested the dragon Shou-Lao the Undying and plunged his fists into the dragon’s heart. His powers are based in mysticism, but he’s also Luke Cage’s best friend and the second member of the original Heroes for Hire. The character has even taken the mantle of Daredevil at one point, helping to keep Matt Murdock’s identity a secret.

Marvel has already announced that an Iron Fist series is coming. However, at the time of this writing, there are rumors that they’ve yet to crack the series. As such, many believe the show will eventually be cancelled. Hopefully, this is not the case. An appearance from Danny Rand, even a brief one, would do a lot to assuage the sense of doubt currently around the Iron Fist series. His longtime lawyer and business partner Jeryn Hogarth is already appearing in Jessica Jones, played by Carrie-Anne Moss. It’s not a stretch to think one of Hogarth’s biggest clients might make an appearance as well.

Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop is Hawkeye. In the current comic continuity, she’s one of two Hawkeyes, alongside Clint Barton. However, prior to that she was a member of the Young Avengers – a team of teenage superheroes who were ordered to disband by established heroes Captain America and Iron Man. Ignoring the order, Kate persuades the team to relocate and continue operating with a new set of costumes, serving as their benefactor. Kate eventually earns the name Hawkeye after standing up to Captain America himself, an act that Jessica Jones tells her only the original Hawkeye ever did.

Kate and Jessica have a strong relationship in the Young Avengers series. Before Kate became a vigilante, she was attacked one night in Central Park. What happened that night remains unknown, but it’s something that Jessica can relate to, and the two bond over their shared hardships and overcoming them. The MCU isn’t aching for a new Hawkeye yet, but introducing Bishop in this series, even before she becomes a vigilante, could lay some groundwork for a new Phase IV Hawkeye.

Doreen Green

Though she’s technically a mutant, Doreen Green – better known as Squirrel Girl – has never been a member of any of the official X-Teams. The teenage superhero is gifted with the ability to communicate with squirrels, as well as enhanced reflexes and a surprisingly scrappy fighting style. Using these powers, she’s managed to defeat everyone from Wolverine to Doctor Doom.

Squirrel Girl is currently enjoying an increase in popularity since the launch of her solo series: The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl by Ryan North and Erica Henderson. While the character is admittedly silly, she has an important role in Jessica Jones’ future. Doreen is eventually hired to be the nanny of Danielle Cage, the daughter of Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. While we don’t need Squirrel Girl running around Hell’s Kitchen, she could be introduced here and then spinoff into her own series or film with a bit of a lighter tone.
