My family and friends loved Jericho and am so disappointed in the time slot it was given. I know my family alone got about 20 people watching it, and most had to watch later on DVR or online due to the time slot. CBS does not care about quality entertainment, just the reality shows that are cheap to make and cheap quality entertainment.

You know I never tried on this show, I heard it was good after it got canceled and all, and then I heard about it coming back, but I just knew it was doomed. I had already fallen for this trick with Firefly.

It was confirmed on Friday evening (3/21), on Shaun o’Mac’s radio broadcast, that the show’s production company will be trying to find another home for Jericho. Most likely they will be looking at cable networks.

Sadly, it seems that the networks are only interested in shows that do not require any intellignece on the part of the viewer. They have cancelled Jericho, a well made, interesting, thought-provoking program, and probably will put on more idiocy such as “Deal or No Deal” or “Big Brother”. This is pandering to the lowest common denominator of the public. There were only 7 episodes and CBS really did very little to publicize the show. Some shows seem to get endless publicity. I will really miss this show, there is so little worth watching.

Well, I’m done with CBS. Jericho was the only show on CBS I watched so I have no reason to keep CBS on my playlist. I hate reality shows and sitcoms and since that is all they want, I am done.

Its too bad. Can’t rule out Sci-fi channel saving the show however. Write in fans. Let’s see what can happen.

I absolutely guarantee that no “save the show” campaign will get Jericho back for another season on CBS.

The proof is in the viewership numbers. Fans had their shot and it’s done.

Sorry, I can’t fault them, Jim. I think they did the best they could with a slashed budget and insanely few number of episodes in which to complete the story.

Vic, Journeyman had a very limited formula for each story, although a bit more sci fi appeal. But it went out on a high note, with the stories consistent. Although I liked the resolution, I miss the quality.

Jericho has lost more of my interest with each episode. There’s a lot of Screen Ranters who plan to watch it on DVD, so I won’t get specific, but everyone is aware that some characters didn’t return. My take is that those characters provided some of the grounding and the gravitas for the whole story. I don’t care about most post-apocolyptic stories. But I cared about Jericho. Until post-Season One.
