One more thing, an updated version of his mask might be cool at certain instances so his face wont be recognized on certain missions but he should not wear it all the time. And especially not as a S.H.I.E.L.D agent or Avenger. He needs to wear something that is very signature but not silly or real “comic booky”. Also nothing X-Men(movie) like or Matrix. No spandex!! Maybe a kevlar/like suit contoured to his body similar to Snake’s(MGS) or Raiden’s(MGS).

@michael hey dude I hear what your saying but first of all Jeremy Renner doesn’t like Hawkeye’s classic costume. Also he said that he likes the fact that Marvel is making their stories and characters realistic or as he said “plausible”. You have to think in terms of who Hawkeye is, what he does and what he is capable of doing. That being said, you have to think of his skills and weaponry. If he was real then he would be like a stealth/covert opperations type of guy. Stealth doesn’t always mean hiding in the dark, it also means being able to blend in with your surroundings not being seen or “noticed”(calling attention to yourself). Some stealth missions require a man like him to work in broad daylight which means he may have to blend in with a crowd of people or city. What do you think would happen if he tried to blend into a crowd of people to escape or persue someone wearing a silly mask? Wearing “cool” “tech-shadesthat resemble his mask,nothing 70′s Elton John’ish but something that could give him night/thermo etc.,vision. He already would have phenomenal vision but would need extra stuff. He also should be proficient in knife fighting and SWORDSMANSHIP for close mele combat. Lastly he should be fluent in a few foreign languages especially Arabic,Farsi,Russian,etc. Hawkeye also has a photographic memory allowing him to hit targets “blind folded”. Hawkeye has the potential to be an INCREDIBLE BADDASS!!! So think in terms of real life, he’d probably wear a trench coat at times too to hide his weaponry or equipment especially while in a crowd of civilians or something. I respect your opinion though. I hope Hawkeye is in Iron Man 2!!!!!!

i don’t agree with the sunglasses, that would make him look mora like an ordinary person & less like a superhero. we don’t want hawkeye looking like cyclops from the xmen either. just use his original costume with updated versions for the movie & please keep the mask,it looks great on him.

Hawkeye and Black Widow should be just S.H.I.E.L.D agents first. Its deffinitely gotta be the stealthy/assassin dressed in all black with a little purple “Ultimate Hawkeye”. With special tactical “Hawkeye sunglasses”. He’s gotta be a high tech dude with high computers and electronics aptitude especially for hacking into computer systems and alarms. And a superb hand to hand combatant just under Captain America’s skills.

Also his hand to hand combat skills have got to be superb. Just below Cap’n A’s. Plus he’s also got to be somewhat of a dick but still a likeable guy. I could picture Tony underestimating him before getting shot with a special arrow that shuts down his Iron Man suit.LOL!!!

I agree, this guy would make an awsome Hawkeye but like Adrien said, it’s got to be the stealthy/assassin “Ultimate Hawkeye” dressed in all black and a little DARK purple with the “Hawkeye high tech sunglasses”. It would make more sense for him to be in Iron Man 2 and it could be done as their “easter egg” or just even a BIG SURPRISE SUB-STORY RE-WRITTEN in by DOWNEY JR & FAVERAEU. Hawkeye being incredibly cool but cocky is the way to go,like in the comics but he’s got to be more high tech and a good computer hacker type too just like Black Widow.

I can see this guy as Hawkeye forsure.. I admit I loved this guy In SWAT back in the day his character was so badass. Too bad the movie was pretty abysmal. But yea Hawkeye is awesome I remember him being one of my favorite avengers back when I was a kid. I think the heroes without superpowers are the coolest so hopefully this will be good.

btw, I made it my mission to watch The Hurt Locker over the weekend and did so from my hotel while away on a mini-vacation (I’m hardcore).

Renner was awesome in it and he should be a star. I hope this is a role he gets among others.

They havnt finished Filming yet..What? I thought they finished filming about 1-2 months ago from the last article I remember for IM2..Maybe the rest is CGi stuff..who knows anyway I really hope Hawkeye makes an appearance in Iron Man 2 that would be an interesting to see.
