Jeremy Renner reveals that he will begin filming his scenes in 2019's The Avengers 4 in just a few short weeks. While Marvel Studios is no stranger to crazy, hectic production schedules for their films either, the studio is attempting to pull off something even more ambitious than anything they've done before with their next two Avengers films. Starting with next year's Avengers: Infinity War, the two movies are said to be the "culmination" of the events of the Marvel Cinematic Universe up until this point, which includes the full introduction of Josh Brolin's villainous Mad Titan Thanos.

Both Avengers 3 and 4 are directed by brothers Anthony and Joe Russo - following their work on the past two Captain America films - based on screenplays written by Winter Soldier and Civil War scribes, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. With production on Avengers 4 begining shortly as well, fans continue to wonder which characters from the MCU will get the most to do in Infinity War, and then subsequently, which ones may take on more supporting or lead roles in Avengers 4.

One of the first cast members confirmed to be returning for Avengers 4, though, is none other than Jeremy Renner who wasn't present in the footage at D23 and San Diego Comic-Con. When asked by Collider recently when he'll be returning to begin filming his part in the fourth Avengers film, the actor said:

"Like 10 days. Two weeks. Something like that."

This fits in line with what is known about the filming schedule for Avengers 4 as of right now, with The Russo Brothers taking a small couple week break after completing principal photography on Avengers: Infinity War before beginning shooting on its follow-up. And with it recently being revealed that Avengers 4 will be partially filming in Tokyo later this month as well, there's the possibility that Renner could be involved in some of those international scenes.

The last time audiences saw him, Renner's Hawkeye had been broken out of The Raft prison along with the rest of the Team Cap members by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and his cohorts, at the end of Captain America: Civil War. However, the trajectory of most of those characters' arcs - Hawkeye's included - have been shrouded in mystery ever since Civil War came out in theaters last year. It's well-known that Renner did shoot scenes for Avengers: Infinity War, though, along with almost every other main or supporting actor from the MCU, which means that he will be involved in some capacity in the fight against Brolin's Thanos. So for right now, the only real question is how large of a role Hawkeye will be given in the film, and if he may be one of the main characters to die by the time the fourth Avengers film has reached its conclusion.
