With his acting ability, I'm sure he could pull off a Death mocking the boys, too! It wouldn't be too surprising if the Angels did something to bring John back as a new kind of spirit and John possesses Dean to do something Dean wasn't ready to do. Afterward, he could reveal himself and Dean would go ballistic on him for making decisions again, especially like that, but with John being colder than usual. It could be a good arc to truly finish the Dean/John son surpassing the father angle and you know it would be touching in the end. That’d be a great way to bring him back, jordi! Although, in the seaosn 2 finale he escaped hell and it looked like his soul was finally released into heaven; or so I liked to think.
