john winchester coming back for an episode would be awesome. I would love to see it happen.

tasouli says:

I think he shoudl come back but only as a spirit and ONLY as a guide or a voice to Dean. I think having him guest star in a whole episode or several episodes would be ridiculous- he’s dead. But they could do something cool with teh whole spirit concept. I have confidence in Kripke and the show and I know that they will not let me down. BTW season premiere was GREAT

Brodie_Bruce says:

get him to do sum Voice over for the show if he cant make time to make an aperance.

But the LoBo VS the Winchesters . is the Coolest idea ive heard in quite a while.

or have him come back as one of the 4 horsemen.
Reencarnated or Possesed …….ya know ….

@ Brodie Bruce
Bringing him back as one of teh 4 horsemen would be a GREAT idea and I think that would a add even more emotion and chemistry to the show. Although, in the seaosn 2 finale he escaped hell and it looked like his soul was finally released into heaven; or so I liked to think. I think bringing him back as an angel woudl also be interesting but if they could manage to bring him back as one of the horseman with a good explanation that probably would be the best idea

jordi says:

Which of the 4? Not War, that’s for certain. Famine? The Conqueror? Death?

Can you really see him as any of those (I’m sure he’d do a great job but that would lessen his sacrifices earlier in the series).

Of the three I can only see him as Death and even then not as John Winchester, just as Death using his appearance to mess with the boys.

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

Why do I keep doing this to myself. I just saw the episode where people’s wishes were fulfilled by a demon for 10 years, then the hounds of hell take them. The demon alleged that John was sent to hell; now I read that he escaped from hell. CRAP!

Actually, I don’t mind reading these. I just like to yell. :-)

Winchestial says:

That’d be a great way to bring him back, jordi! With his acting ability, I’m sure he could pull off a Death mocking the boys, too!

It wouldn’t be too surprising if the Angels did something to bring John back as a new kind of spirit and John possesses Dean to do something Dean wasn’t ready to do. Afterward, he could reveal himself and Dean would go ballistic on him for making decisions again, especially like that, but with John being colder than usual. It could be a good arc to truly finish the Dean/John son surpassing the father angle and you know it would be touching in the end.

jim rowland says:

I can’t help but think that the obvious role for him to come back in is …God. Dean is Michael, Sam is Lucifer, and dad would be the obvious parallel.
