Here’ the promised first trailer for James Bond 22, better known as Quantum of Solace, courtesy of MovieFone. It looks to continue the gritty, dark tone of the last Bond film.

This isn’t your dad’s James Bond boys and girls… but I like it.

Check it out below.

  1. Bourne…James Bourne

I like how none of this feels like James Bond till the music at the very end. I think this movie will be great but will not feel like classic Bond. It’s too bad they can’t make good movies in the classic style.

  2. weird, couldn’t see the trailer here, and on MovieFone it said it wasn’t available for my region
After a bit of searching a came across this site, where I could see the trailer: http://www.filmflash.nl/?p=1385

Anyway, it seems it’s going to be true to the last one, which is a very good thing. Still looking forward to this one!

    Steve,

  3. I think it looks great!!! Title, not so much.

  4. I like that it feels different Bond film. The World Is Not Enough (TWINE) was so weak, predictable and gimmicky, it was boring. Die Another Day was fun, but Casino Royale sent everything off in a new direction!

  5. I still think the title is lame but everything else looks terrific , so I hope its as much fun as the previous one was .
and I think that Craig is THE Best Bond since Connery.

  6. I’m not that excited by it, but I wasn’t into the first CR trailer either. I’m sure the movie will be great.

But let’s not get into the title argument again!

  7. I’m from the old school James bond-the one and only, the greatest James Bond EVER!! SEAN CONNERY!!!! But coming up in 2nd place is Pierce Brosnan. I am really wanting to see this movie when it comes to theaters in November, from what I could se from the trailer-he’s going to be pretty good too. But there’s no beating Sean Connery as James Bond!!!!! Grandma591

  8. Timmy D is the best bond, he was the only one who acted and had the mannerisms and attitude of a covert super-trained superspy

  9. Looking good.

  10. SUHWEET!! This looks like it’s going to be as good as Casino Royale…well, at least I HOPE it’s as good! Daniel Craig is awesome as James Bond, and I hope he does several more of the films.

  11. I love the way Bond is to the right of frame walking up with the assault rifle. It looks like Bond is ready to take some people out.

  12. It is looking good. No a massive fan of the Bond movies, but I am liking it.

  13. This looks good. I really have enjoyed ALL the Bond films, but Daniel Craig makes such a GREAT Bond. The best since Connery, although I did like Pierce Brosnan as well. Craig gives the Bond character that same edge that Christian Bale gives to Batman. I can’t remember the last time I looked forward to a movie in November….

  14. Apparently, if you read the original novels by Ian Flemming, Craig is pretty spot on as James Bond. Flemming desribed bond as a sort of Brutish thug of a secret agent with almost black hair. Nothing like Brosnan or even Connery. Now imagine Daniel Craig with almost black hair and you’ve got Flemmings Bond.

  15. I have to agree with King-of-Riva. The Bond movies with Daniel Craig have a tone much more in line with what I remember of the Fleming Bond novels, and I find myself hoping the production company changes it’s mind about eventually revisiting the titles of the original movies, this time keeping closer to the books than most of those previous adaptations did.

  16. I know most don’t want to hear this but the title now, with the trailer, seems to make sense. Probably the best use of the word Quantum I’ve ever seen outside a physics textbook. To have a “Quantum of Solace” would be to have a very very small amount of satisfaction. DON’T anybody say DUH, you all thought it was some gizmo.. :)

  17. ERR more like comfort instead of satisfaction.. :(

  18. I think the title translates “AT PEACE WITH REVENGE”. That’s my take on it. :-/

Watched the trailer the other day and it looked good however, seemed like it was edited by Mtv. Very fast and quick cuts. (Don’t like that.)

I did notice in that mess that Bond goes rogue. I don’t remember that happening before. Very cool and it does look like it takes place right after the last film. Even the color filtration looks the same.

After TDK, we can look forward to this and the X-files.

  19. “I did notice in that mess that Bond goes rogue. I don’t remember that happening before.”

That may depend on what you mean by going rogue. License to Kill had Bond going on a revenge quest and ignoring orders from M to do so. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service had Bond go after Blofeld after being reassigned.

Die Another Day could come close because his 00 status has officially been revoked, but he’s still technically working for M, so that one is debatable.

Regardless, depending on how you look at it, he’s gone rogue 2-3 times in previous movies. Still that was another “series” so it could still qualify as Bond’s first time going rogue in this one.

  20. I guess I have a short memory when it comes to Bong going rogue, I mean Bond.
    Lol. :-)

  21. I think the trailer looks great, but personally would have a little more faith in the film if Martin Campbell is directing it again. I seem to like both of his Bond movies. I actually hated Pierce Brosnan’s Bond films. Don’t get me wrong, he LOOKS right for the role, but his acting is pretty blah, Sean Connery was definitely much better, but the reason why I didn’t like them was actually not his fault. The stories and villains were plain dumb. EXCEPT Goldeneye, which was directed by Martin Campbell. And the story was good too, kind of a bit taken from A View to a Kill, but I loved how the villain was a former 00 agent, so he’s on par or maybe even better than Bond, making him a real threat. And Campbell’s directing style seems to work well with Bond. So I doubt it’s a coincidence that the only Pierce Brosnan Bond film I liked was Campbell’s and then CR was excellent and was also Campbell.

But from the looks of it, it looks like Marc Forster isn’t slacking on this movie, I think it should be just as good as CR, hopefully even better…

  22. bod is lokkink gud wid his new bond gals….Olga Kurylenko

  23. this film is the best ever

  24. this film rocks the cras are gr8 like the actors

  25. this move is the best the cars rock and the actors too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  26. the move is awsome the actor are gr8 the cars are just as good and the dierector the jams bond moves just aout of this world it was a gr8 idia and a big kiss to james bond qouantom of solactice actor!

  27. Can someone please tell me what shoes he’s wearing? Thanks

  28. The James Bond Rock is really one of the best scenary in James Bond Movies. But when I was there to see it two years ago it was really boring. The rock is tinny in comparison to the movie and it was a rainy day.

    • I think the Rock is great, in the movie an also if you see him in real live.

Maybe you had bad luck due to the rain.
