I watched almost all of the movies (I’m watching them in a row, and I now have finished 4 [yes, I watched 2 also]), and I didn’t think they were funny. Except that part where Robert Englund is a nurse… Anyways, I don’t think of the series as funny at all. If anything, it’s to lighten things up. That, and Freddy likes to add insult to injury. Using the Roach Motel advertising campaign motto while using the Roach Motel to kill someone = funny but still disturbing and scary. I look forward to this movie, but hope that it still retains the occasional pun or joke that made the series so entertaining. It made you laugh on occasion, but made you afraid to sleep at the same time. I just hope that they do a decent job and that it meets my high expectations.

He was great at the Scream Awards (broadcast on Spike 10-27) and accepted an award for Watchmen. You’ll have to tune in to see what award…

having watched all the nightmare on elm streets (except 5, yes i did watch the horrific #2) i liked them on first viewing but when i went back and watched them again (5 or so years later) i found them to be boring and not so entertaining/scary as i initially thought it to be.

i hope they introduce a sadistic psycho that will really make people think twice before closing their eyes hehehe, platinum dunes hasnt done a bad job with friday the 13th (special effect and mood creating wise) so i hope they do the same (if not better for the sake of robert englund) hehe
hopefully it will turn out decent if not great

He won me over in Watchmen! I love Freddy. I love R.E. I’m sure that I’ll dig his take on Freddy too! If you think about it, it’s kind of a treat to have different versions of stories told! ~ Stark

I’m sorry but all of freddy movies made me laugh hard… Especially the ridiculous booby traps she had for him but i do love those films. It was at sleeptime that i un-giggled… But either way i think he’s just trying to throw people off as much as he can till there are enough clips out there for us to tell what type of freddy are we really getting. I wonder if they’re going to make him seem taller since most of freddy’s victims were usually smaller then him and this freddy… Well you’ve seen him in watchmen. If that booby trap scene is still in this movie then to me its not going to be as serious as they claim it to be.
