JEH as Sinestro cool, Superman in GL double cool

stpau1y says:

Also there is plenty of time for DC/WB/Whomever to find someone to play Clark/Supes in a couple minute/second part.

greenknight333 says:

Awful idea for JEH to play Sinestro…I guess he comes a lot cheaper than Hugo Weaving..

da-fadge says:

He is going to look so tiny next to reynolds

DiZZy says:

@ da-fadge

That’s exactly what I was thinking. Great actor, but short in stature for Sinestro. Hugo Weaving for the win!

KEL says:

I love JEH, but he’s a bad choice. And it’s more like Rorschach as Sinestro to comix fans….

M-Cat says:

Studio goes cheap – what a surprise.

Superman appearance would be cool though. But for what reason? To save the day? He’s not the hero.

Kantstandya says:

yes he is agreat actor but he is to short and not right for the part hugo fits everything about sinestro i mean he even looks like him in the comics. and his acting is allways up to par.

Drsambeckett1984 says:

Jeff Goldblum!!! JEH was cook in watchmen but that was mostly because it was a cool part! A Superman cameo is the only reason I will watch this film, will it be Routh or Welling???

Iron Knight says:

I also think he’s not the best choice, even though he’s a good actor. Yes, Hugo Weaving would nail the role.

Josh Rose says:

Agree with every one else. While he’s got the acting chops to play the part well, he’s way too short and is not going to come off as imposing.

Personally I’m against Weaving for the part, too, just because I think casting actors who are famous for playing a villain as a villain comes off as rather uninspired. I really don’t have any alternative in mind, but I did like the idea of Guy Pearce someone brought up way back in the Sinestro thread.

Gary says:

I think it might be a baseless rumor ,
but we shall see .
I agree with Paul,
Its the Superman thing that makes me think its fishy.
Thats old .
If the same source is treating the Superman thing as new info then I think the Sinestro part might be suspect as well.
I dont have an opinion on who should play Sinestro.
Time will tell if this is true.

Moneyshot says:

There is only 1 person that could bring the character of Sinestro to life. Ladies and gentleman I give you……DANIEL DAY-LEWIS.

Xigbar says:

I can see it working, but Jeremy Irons would still be my first choice. It’s the voice

Kane says:

I’m struggling to remember a time when “fan favourite” ever resulted in a solid casting decision.

Heath Ledger for The Joker…? Don’t remember that suggestion…
Hugh Jackman as Wolverine…? Nope.
Robert Downey Jr. in the Iron Man suit? Erm… not that I recall.

John K. says:

Well, did you see if a superman cameo made sense in “public enemies” ? Well, they should do what they can to follow the dayview from the comics, but i really want to see another superman film! i miss superman feeling the dark prehensive failure that superman returns was tipping out since singer was under the age of 40 and didn`t know how to direct.

Drsambeckett1984 says:

This movie is sounding worse by the second, if it gets made it will be god awful. Instead of wasting all the money on this stinking pile that no one will go to see, get a decent script together and get a proper Superman movie made!!!! I don’t want to see a rent a hero like Green Lantern. I want to see Superman flying over Metropolis with Lois Lane in his arms.

John K. says:

maybe it won`t be time for Superman to have a cameo until later.

The Big Dentist says:

“i miss superman feeling the dark prehensive failure that superman returns was tipping out since singer was under the age of 40 and didn’t know how to direct.”

Could you expand on that, John K? I have no idea what you meant there.

Kane says:

Has anyone thought the “Superman cameo” could just be the (rather old) news about Clark Kent being a potential Green Lantern in a brief scene where the ring bypasses him before settling on Hal Jordan?

John K. says:

all the words before tipping just meant i miss Superman.

After that i meant that i notice usually it`s only directors who are 40 years old who can direct superhero movies. because they probably haven`t spent enough years learning the basic standards. Seriously, even Nolan can`t direct. The Batman films weren`t that great. Though, maybe i`m wrong. Maybe somme directors that are in their mid or late 30`s may have had enough experience to know how to shoot the quantities. You might not understand the point i`m trying to make.
