It’s official: McG off Superman

I guess sometimes rumours are true. It turns out that McG is off Superman after all.

Casting and location decisions where the crux of the problem, and wouldn’t you know it? McG went all patriotic on us and wanted to shoot Superman (an American icon if there ever was one) in New York city. He stated that he didn’t think it would be right to shoot the movie in another country due to the Supe’s history.

Who’d a thunk it?

Now the rumour mill can go into overdrive speculating who will step in as director since the film is already in pre-production…

I admire McG’s vision of keeping Hollywood in America, but he’s not making much business sense. Someone who has been playing the Hollywood game for several years like he has should know better than that. Cost shouldn’t be the only factor, but it matters, and people who fight the suits on cost issues don’t enjoy long, successful careers.

Thank god Mcg is off of superman. he is the tool who directed the god awful charlies angels. superman fans should be thankful.
