At least this version we've been hearing about for months featuring diaper-clad kids playing adult superheroes for Summer 2009 release. The film is LIVE ACTION,but blends heavy amounts of CGI and motion-capture techniques in the film. The shooting date was announced some time ago as being February 11th,2008,and we will surely see the REAl cast by then. That or I'm guessing they won't let us know who's wearing the capes and tights until they release some early pictures of the film. The release date is summer 2009. Although I am a cartoonist,give me that job and I'll have ALL the League's costumes designed in 5 minutes. And the Batman suit will be one that EVERYONE will like too! ;-) They say the job they are doing on the costumes are great,but I hope they aren't doing anything radical and stupid to them. Just keep the color/shade schemes the same or similar,keep the suits flexible and authentic,and overall,keep the suits RESPECTFUL of the source material. Don't change the characters' symbols/logos/embloms drastically or ADD areas or take away areas on the suits,even if you think it's "dumb" (like a leotard,I wouldn't wear one,but I will always expect Superman,Batman,and Martian Manhunter to be in one because that's the way they've ALWAYS looked,so don't eff with the originals,'kay?). Other than that,you wanna make the suits outa some special type material with little designs in it or rivots or a bulletproof type fabric,go right ahead. Just don't forget what the characters are supposed to look like. Anything that violates that is Sugar Honey Iced Tea,ya smell me? ;-) They've got some of the top talent in the biz working on this film,they just need to not screw the casting up. And if that means spend an extra month on casting then do it,a film like this is to big to mess up. Oh,and dear God,PLEASE dont let it be 90 minutes!!! A film of this proportion NEEDS to be at LEAST 2 hours!!! So do 2 hr. and 15-30 minutes,OK,WB?
