John Williams is a ledgend.
Were lucky anytime he does a score. I sure wish they would use him at Marvel. (Iron Man). Wink wink

He is a superb music composer. I especially have a love for the Jurassic Park music, wonderful, just magic.
But I will not see this movie in theatre, the last one (well first new one…) was not that good, long and pretty boring.

Star Wars, Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, ET, SuperMan, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, JFK, Nixon, Empire of the Sun, Saving Private Ryan, Harry Potter, Schindiers List, Home Alone, Midway, 1941, and Artificial Intelligence just a few of John Williams works……
The man is a ledgend.

Ofcourse, superman 2 will be made. The first Singer one was awesome. So much better that that piece of sh** X-men 3 disaster he rightfully left

KEL says:

John Williams is fantastic. ALL of his stuff is good. My personal faves of his are Superman (of course), Star Wars (all of the SW films’ scores), Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park. It would be AWESOME if he would score the next Superman (which I hope is a reboot, but still has Brandon Routh, just without the whole).

However, having said that, I do very much enjoy John Ottman’s scores. I haven’t heard anything from him that I haven’t liked. His X-Men 2 suit, Fantastic Four main title, and Silver Surfer suit are all GREAT, but are all also cut out of the movies unfortunately. His work on Superman Returns was also great, I thought, he is a really great musician, like Williams.

So for me, being a fan of both composers, it’s a win/win scenario when it comes to who will score the next Superman film (which I hope is soon).

This is awesome news! It’s kind of a shame for Ottman, though. He did a great job on SR and not doing MoS will be yet another case of him not being able to write the sequel to one of his scores.

Son of El says:

I’m a great Superman fan, but I didn’t like the score that Ottman made for Returns. He said he wouldn’t use the Superman themes the same way that Ken Thorne did for Superman 2 and 3, but the truth is he did it, even worse. I hope John Williams composes new amazing themes for The Man of Steel as he did for Star Wars sequels. Greetings from Spain.
