<description>This would really, really, really, really, REALLY suck. &quot;24&quot; is one of TWO shows that I look forward to watching every week and record so I don&#039;t miss them. The other is &quot;Smallville&quot;, and the writer&#039;s strike is screwing that up too.

Thank goodness for live sports TV or there really wouldn&#039;t be anything worth watching on TV except Discovery and TV Land.

<description>Yea it was both Thomas but overall the strike postponed 24.
They had planned to work around Keifers detention during Christmas break and would have but then the strike happened and ruined everything.

		<description>-=-

I suspect that the arrest and detention of the lead actor had more to do with the delays than the writers strike. Before filming - I&#039;m sure the scripting of the 24 episodes would have been completed.

<description>All else fails let&#039;s get Jack Bauer to come to one of the strike meetings.
^
He&#039;ll need a dropcloth, hacksaw, some rope and a bunch of tube socks.
^
They have that contract signed one way or another!!!

<description>Less than a week into this strike and we have allready lost some great shows.
^
I think what could be the best thing for both the writers and the studios is to take the downloading issue in the contract out temporarly. Put it on the side until the studios and writers can agree on a fare rate.
^
Right now concentrate on the dvd percentages but let the technology issue with web content work itself out over a few years. This will give the Studios time to change their marketing and web content as the rates for downloaded content get a more fixed price range accross the spectrum.
^
Right now the way its setup the writers get say 15cents for every dvd sold. They want the same for downloaded material however that material isn&#039;t sold for the same price as a dvd.
^
There&#039;s problems on both sides here. But they need to come together on this issue take it out for now and let&#039;s get back to work!!!
^
This strike isn&#039;t just a slow death for the writers and tv in general its also a slow death for L.A.s Entertainment community.

take it out for.
