Iron Man Superbowl Spot, Tons Of New Pics & New Website
Feb 3, 2008 by Vic Holtreman
Are you ready for an Iron Man movie overdose? You can watch the new TV spot for Iron Man below, plus, Paramount has updated the official website for the movie, AND there are a bunch of new images from the movie as well!
The clip below show a lot of new footage and it’s very “hip.” It’s designed to intrigue people who’ve probably not heard of the movie yet and as far as that I think it works well. For people who’ve been following the movie for months, while it does show a lot of new footage, it seems kind of… I don’t know.. like candy, if that makes any sense. Yeah, it’s cool, but I’m not sure if it makes me more excited about the movie like everything else I’ve heard and seen so far does.
The CGI seems kind of unfinished to me in some spots in the clip above, and for some reason it seems painfully hip to me.
Finally, here are just some of the new images that have been added to the updated Iron Man website.

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr. and his driver (bodyguard?) Happy Hogan (director Jon Favreau)

Tony Stark and his best friend Jim “Rhodey” Rhodes (Terrence Howard)

Obadiah Stane (Jeff Bridges), a Stark Industries executive who ends up being an arch enemy to Iron Man

Tony Stark works on the Mark III Iron Man armor

Iron Man not doing so well against an adversary

Iron Man opens on May 2nd, 2008
Around the web:

I realise he dosnt have super-powers like Parker does. It will be interesting to see how much damage he gets delt in this new film.
In the comics, IM fought the Hulk and nearly bought the farm. Stark had to create a whole new armor because of the Hulk. It would be nice to see this armor in the film.
JUST SAW IRON MAN TRAILER HERE IN SCOTLAND AND IT LOOKS GREAT.
IF THIS IS A HUGE HIT OF A MOVIE DO YOU THINK MABEY “ROBOCOP” MIGHT GET A WELCOME RETURN TO THE BIG SCEEN?
WITH ALL THE CGI STUFF NOW I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT HOLLYWOOD WOULD HAVE BEEN EAGER TO BRING HIM BACK.
I STILL THINK THAT FIRST ROBOCOP MOVIE IS A CLASSIC. BRING HIM BACK.
Yea I could go for a new Robocop!
^
1 was great but I actually watch 2 more.
3 was just bad….
ROBOCOP 2 SHOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. IT SUFFERED FROM TOO MUCH TROUBLE BEHIND THE SCENES AS SUPERMAN 2 DID.
I MEAN FRANK MILLER WROTE ROBOCOP 2 AND LOOK WHAT HE’S UP TO NOW; 300 ,SIN CITY.
IT WAS TRYING TO DO THEN WHAT THE BATMAN MOVIES NOW ARE JUST CATCHING UP WITH.
ROBOCOP WAS KICKIN’ ASS SUPERHERO WISE LONG BEFORE THE OTHERS.
