Iron Man Movie Site Updated
Nov 15, 2007 by Heath McKnightThe official Iron Man movie website has finally been updated. They’ve added a photo section and a cast area (which would be better named “Characters”) which gives some background on the major characters in the film. There is also a Fan Art section which at the moment contains only Adi Granov and official movie artwork all showing that it’s been uploaded by “Tony Stark.”
There are a couple of new photos (you can bet there will be more) and of course the trailer. I’m really happy with how everything is shaping up with the movie, and reaching out to the fans now by asking for art: awesome!
I’ve included the new images below.

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark

Terrence Howard as James “Rhodey” Rhodes

Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts

Jeff Bridges as Obadiah Stane

This is looking very cool so far. So, artists on Screen Rant, I look forward to seeing your work displayed on the official site!

Wow that trailer is fantasic!
This film looks real good.
Downey Jr was a good choice. I just hope he hangs around for all the. Sequels to this new franchise.
IronMan the trailer id give it a 10.
God,that picture is SWEET!!
Very nice! Holding at 100%, can’t wait for this movie.
Yeah, I have to say that I really like those character shots. Downey totally captures Tony Stark in that pic IMHO.

Let’s hope they do not give out to much there will not be eny suprise when you see the movie. I hate that.
Check it out–They changed “CAST” for “CHARACTERS”
Great advice!!!!
IronMan´s movie was screened on april 30th. It is excellent! Enjoy it!
very very nice movi
i seen it 5 times
Downey played a great Stark character. He added humor to the role which made viewers connect with him. His last words at the end were a great way to finish the movie, too.
I have seen Iron Man three times (so far) and it is by far the best of the modern superhero movies to date. The story line was updated from the original Viet Nam era but the story and Characters were true to the original comic books. The story was logical, “real” and believable, even though it was a science fiction character. I’m glad to see the use of real suits and models and that CGI effects were used sparingly – a discerning eye can see that even the best CGI has that “fake” look that detracts from the film and distracts the viewer from the story (that’s why I’m not looking forward to the new Hulk movie, an actor, a “suit” ala the thing from the Fantastic Four Movies or Mr. Hyde from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, or a combination of both would have been better). The two hours flew by. This movie was head and shoulders above the Spiderman movies.
One drawback, that didn’t really take away from the quality of the movie (but was a disappointment for me), was Robert Downey Jr. saying I am Iron Man at the end of the movie. I realize that a lot of the Marvel Comics characters do not have secret identities anymore, but that is why their comics stink and nobody reads them anymore. The poor ideas and writing of the current staff at Marvel has ruined the great characters and stories created in the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. The current staff didn’t create these heroes and they are not creating dramatic stories that people want to read. They have replaced dramatic stories with drastic actions (killing off and changing heroes, completely changing storylines, revealing secret identities) that are unrealistic, ridiculous and make people not care about the characters and storylines anymore.
A comic hero loses its mystique without the “secret identity”. The stories lose a lot of intrigue and excitement without the suspense created by a secret identity and all that goes with it. Frankly, it seems unrealistic that someone with superpowers would want the world to know their secret identity. It was explained in the movie “The Incredibles”, why would someone want to be a superhero all the time and constantly be bothered by people (good and bad) because of his/her powers?
It is a situation that can easily be fixed in the next movie. I hope they rectify the only “flaw” from the movie when they make the next one.
