As described it all sounds great. I hope it’s not just ‘all talk’ though and it will really show in the movie.

I enjoy Favreau’s other efforts, and he carries himslef (e.g. Dinner for 5) as though he really understands what makes movies good. I have high hopes for this one, even if I’m not a huge fan of Stark.

Singer did really well with X1 and X2, and I think some of the things Favreau says above, like action scenes to move the movie the forward rather than just eye candy, rang true in those movies. It is possible for a comicbook movie to be intelligent too.

Stark just isn’t as relatable as say X-Men or Spiderman, but we’ll see.

I think that’s one of the reasons Favs is injecting humor into the story, to make Stark more likeable.

Tho that damn Black Sabbath song had better not be anymore than just a cameo in IM. IM should have his own theme music, not an old song that was recorded YEARS after IM was created and has ZERO to do with him. He is much bigger than that damn song and needs a soundtrack in line with the Spidey,Superman, and Batman themes. If they use Black Sabbath’s song as the soundtrack I will be EXTREMELY pissed. It’ll be so damn gimmicky……

Thanks Vic for the “other half of the story” and the great coverage of WonderCon. There is so much dialogue I missed it was nice to fill in the spaces. With all the detail Jon is putting into IM I just don’t see how IM could be anything but excellent in every way.

I am so glad Jon fought for casting Robert … Robert can absolutely make Tony Stark an honorable industrialist with total integrity … and irresistible humor, a really likeable guy!!

I look forward to your one on one interview with Jon…..

I like what Jon said about the action in there, I was worried that we were only gonna have action towards the end of the movie like Batman Begins.

It’s good to have 3 armors so that we get to see action in 3 different armors. Unlike Batman where he was just dressed as a thug in half of the film.

The X-men wasn’t so bad, but it wasn’t good in action.
Pretty average !! BLADE was awesome, pop corn action to the max.

I look forward to see this film. So Far IRON MAN seems to be better then the other Marvel Adaptations. Maybe easier to do with less mutants to deal with and a central character who gets at least 3 armors. 3 times the action.

Oh, a movie about a man in iron.
I wonder what it’s about.

I’ve wathced this site daily over the past few months just for the IM updates. I gotta’ tell ya’ your updates are well done. I’m a fan of most of the Avengers, but Stark is closer to my heart than most. I was quite skeptical about an IM movie, but after reading your updates I’ll be there night one!

Hey wingnut, thanks very much and also thanks for “de-cloaking.” :-)
