China-based consumer electronics company TCL is a proud sponsor of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 – which is why they’ve been given the chance to premiere an exclusive new Iron Man 3 spot with new footage that fans will surely be eager to view.
The recent (and very impressive) full-length Iron Man 3 trailer chronicled Tony Stark’s unrest after his near-death in Avengers and his fall from grace at the hands of the nefarious Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). Among other highlights (like TCL TVs getting blown up), we got to see Tony (Robert Downey Jr.) call upon his own “Iron Legion” army of Iron Man suits – many of which we detailed in our Iron Man 3 armor guide.
Based on our own behind-the-scenes looks at the film, we’ve already informed you that Iron Man 3 is going to be a more serious look at Tony Stark’s character – while introducing a bold new interpretation of The Mandarin. (Sorry if you were hoping for the comic book stereotype version of the character – Marvel felt it more prudent to go in a new direction.)
This new spot basically sets up those two major plot-points, with a nice action-packed preview of what happens when the tech-titans collide (Hint: Air Force One and Tony’s Malibu mansion better have plenty of explosion insurance).
