I liked it too, up to one point. The dreaded phone call. If the movie had ended at the long wipe there after the showdown between the two Lincolns then it would have been great, but that whole trek back and the canned ending were just crap.

It’s like watching AI and seeing where Kubrick up and died on the film and Spielberg bloody took over (a.k.a. “The Blue Fairy”)

Not really a prob Heath, as RDJ and Stark are literally the same in and out of character.

Both have success and are struggling to maintain it.
I’ve never seen an actor so qualified for the role of a flawed superhero.

This is one reason the public wants Iron Man to be a big hit and supports it(IMO).
Downey has a huge fanbase and they all want him to overcome his demons. Your gonna see “Holmes” also have a huge Box Office!!!

In all sincerity, Robert Downey JR surprised the heck out of me with his part in the first installment. I sure hope he still delivers the same swagger and the same amount of good role grasp as he did in the first. Still, kudos to the guy I thought would not pull it off.

Actually Iron Man 2 could do better with a couple more fight scenes.

Iron Man 1 literally had 1 fight with the villain and a brief one at that.

Scarlett in my opinion is a terrific actress. She has made a few good and a few bad choices, but always has a good performance. I loved her in The Prestige, but I loved everything about that film.

I liked ‘The Island’ too and Ewan McGregor not withstanding, I thought Scarlett’s performance was one of the only good things about it.

Love Iron Man can’t wait. But 72 days???? Didn’t blockbuster type films used to take months to film??????
Sounds like a Shaw Bros. or a 1940′s Warner Bros. studio shooting schedule

Let’s just hope they have some awesome footage for Comic-Con. Also, I liked The Island; it wasn’t great but I did enjoy it. But Scarlet wasn’t the reason I liked the film and her character wasn’t that memorable.

I’m not gonna have a problem w/ Cheadle replacing Howard. I think Howard is a decent actor, but Cheadle WAY better.
