Today there are two new Iron Man 2 posters debuting on the web. Screen Rant was given an exclusive first look at one, while our friends over at Coming Soon were given the exclusive first look at the other.
The new poster we received (if you haven’t guessed) features Mickey Rourke’s character, the villainous Ivan Vanko, sporting the energized lariats of his alter-ego, Whiplash.
The new poster is somewhat reminiscent of the Whiplash poster that debuted back in December, except that we’re now seeing the character from a brand new angle.

Like I said, pretty much like the first Whiplash poster, just from a different angle (and without the creepy-yet-cool board of Tony Stark clippings in the background).
However, I must say yet again that no matter the poster, trailer, TV spot, or even action figurine, all we seem to be seeing of Whiplash is this homemade harness outfit that he sports when attacking Tony Stark during the Monaco race track sequence. Is this really going to be the only version of Whiplash we see in Iron Man 2? Or does director Jon Favreau have yet another surprise up his sleeve?

As if I needed to tell you, Iron Man 2 will be in theaters on May 7th. Can’t wait.

They better be keeping something more under the sleeve otherwise this movie will offer no more surprises other than this hidden scene after ending credits but that alone wont be sufficient & this could end up major disapointment.
This might be the only time that Ironman 2's poster looks somewhat exciting and cool . all other posters were just bad and I'm really starting to hate that Blue Sky background (about the comingsoon poster ). but meh , who cares about the posters , this movie is going to be awesome
I'm thinking Whiplash puts on one of the suits you see him working on for Justin hammer. Maybe in the movie he turns into Crimson Dynamo or something like that…
the Whiplash one looks kinda boring but both are a GREAT improvement over the first ones..
to you, maybe.
Now to me that's a good poster for this movie.
there isnt just an after credit scene, there's apparently going to be a cameo of the wasp and possibly something to do with captain america.
im going to be 100% alert throughout the movie so i dont miss any hints about the avengers or the other heroes.
i'd be very disappointed is they didnt give whiplash a full suit, i think they're just keeping it a secret so fans leak their pants when the big fight occurs

Although I would prefer the see a full armored whiplash…. Ive always liked whiplash more then CD in the comics
either way im sure we wont be dissapointed

I don't think favs will dissapoint…given the nature of the trailers thus far, I'm thinking that Ivan's alliance with Hammer will result in whiplash duking it out with Iron man in something quite more advanced than the drones for the big finale. The final smackdown should be awesome!
I thought that Whiplash's costume looked pretty stupid when the first leaked photos appeared, but the more I saw of him (especially in the trailer), the more I liked it. And now I think he looks great. Anyone else have a similar experience?
read the novelization on shelves now and you'd know already. this is not the only costume in store for whiplash.
I read the book adaptation of the movie and he does put together some sort of armor for the final fight between himself and Iron Man.
