Iron Man 2 Trailer Has Arrived! [Updated: Plus 30 New Images]

So the viral Iron Man 2 puzzle wasn’t as complicated as some of us thought… Latino Review got the final clue and it turns out that it was all about the one word highlighted in each newspaper clipping, and combined they make up the domain name of a website:
At the time the website was revealed, it was on a 60 minute countdown to the launch of the first Iron Man 2 trailer that we’ve all been waiting for, and now it’s finally arrived at Apple.com (which is where the site above now points)!

A lot of what is in the trailer is the same footage that was shown at Comic-Con last summer, but there is plenty new footage as well. I liked seeing Whiplash working on his tech and a couple of shots mirroring Tony Stark in Afghanistan building the Mark I armor. Sweet shot of Whiplash splitting Tony’s race car in two and I liked the glimpse of action towards the end with the cars exploding – and of course we get the slightest teaser of Iron Man fighting side by side with War Machine.

I’m sure we could meet in the middle somewhere and have a ginormous Iron Man party (all Screen Ranters invited!… LOL!). We watch IM on DVD, then go see IM2 at the multiplex.

im struggling to wrap my head around the change tony is about to go through in this next movie.
i love that he can mentally activate other armors, that is freaking sweet
i kinda dont like that its gonna make him a wolverine copycat, with spider sense. hopefully they play that down in the movie.

Too bad it wasn’t in front of Avatar though, would have loved to see it on the big screen.

I gotta feeling that she will end up being the agenet of our political super power opponent (Soviet Union) who comes to ffer aid but in the interest of her country and not ours.

Stark’s lucky he’s still connected to his feet after having his car bisected like that, and I can’t decide whether the shot of Mickey Rourke laughing is creepy despite the capped teeth and highlighted hair or because of them…
And now I’ve finally seen how War Machine manages to use that gatling gun without blowing his own head off!
The trailer puts across a nice “fun with an edge” vibe. Love RDJ’s comic timing in the “You complete me!” scene.
Oh, Yeah!! With Jr. off the sauce and dope and Mickey Rourke better than ever? This will be the number one action film of 2010. Now if they can just get us this excited about the Superman series of movies that never seem to come…
