Rob Keyes says:

He’s only wearing parts of the armor in this shot :(

Really? I hadn’t noticed that…

d says:

Is it just me or he looks older (than he usually does) in this picture?

But nice one anyway. Upped the anticipation for sure =)

Oscar! says:

i dont know, i dont like the bottom part of his suit.lol

Rob Keyes says:

@ Oscar!

I dig the tight red pants…

;)

Stephen says:

How will this protect him at all???

/end sarcasm

Bill Blume says:

I get the feeling from the various black and white bands, this shot will CG quite a bit of the armor. I’m curious, given the shades, if his head will be in the helmet… or if he’s supposed to be sporting the shades for some reason in this part of the film.

Rob Keyes says:

@ Bill Blume,

I think he’s just waiting in between takes

Adrian says:

So pumped for this film! Wonder how many armors will be in this film (hoping for at least 3)?

Maritza says:

yeah i agree with Rob ~ Most of the bottom half of the costume seams to be missing.. and He looks like he is waiting around…

Manowar says:

yeah, I beleive they CGI the other parts of his armor. That way his armor is not as bulky on him and won’t restrict his movements.

Adrian says:

@Maritza
I’m bettin crash too, that a close up of the earlier super donut pic(inside the donut hole).

H.O.M.E.R. says:

i bet ya this was taken in between shots

good to know they are already filming armor scenes… means the final designs of the armor might be done by ILM

Bill Blume says:

@Rob & Maritza… Him being in-between takes would definitely explain the shades. A good point, but I do think the missing pieces of armor are being CGed. The black and white bands look like reference marks for the animators.

Lord Garth, Formerly of Izar says:

Looks cool but I was actually hoping they would go for a more mallable flexable iron like in the 80″s Layton Comics. In the comics not only could he lift 70 tons and take a punch from the hulk but he could move as if he we wearing silk. I love Iron Man!!! Only nitpicking but with this and the first movie it looks like Robocop Armour with almost no mobility

Andy S says:

Very cool to know that they’re at parts of the script shooting him in armor. I agree that those bands are probably for the CGI team.

@H.O.M.E.R.

ILM is doing the VFX on the sequel.

Iron Knight says:

It looks cool (more bulkier), though it seems weird in the legs. Hey, I wonder if it will be like a promo shot or one from the very film

Drew says:

Freakin Sweet, I can’t wait…

Matt K says:

Cool, but I wanna see pics of Scarlett johannson as Black Widow

Guy Fleegman says:

A better look at the suit with different angles. Also, Nick Fury.

INK says:

Can’t wait for this film.
AND it is going to make a TON of money.

Manowar says:

Nick Fury looks like Shaft with an eye-patch… LOL

Walwus says:

Nice behind the scenes pics Guy, thanks for the link.

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

As a fan, I know they will screw up his entire history as well as the CGI. They will most likely make Victor his brother and those awful looking bone claws that… oh wait, wrong thread. Sorry. :-)

That picture reminds me of The Comedian from Watchmen. Can’t wait to see some of the action.

Endri says:

Nice

The Desolate One says:

Thanks for the pic! Looks NIIIICE. Mr. Favreau said (on Twitter)that the suit is in fact MORE comfortable on Mr. Downey Jr. than the previous one. Parts of it look bulkier in the pic, but guessing because it’s supposed to be a stronger suit than the 1st. Gotta love his spiked hair. It has a comically “Stark” contrast to the seriousness of the suit.

Ken J says:

May 2010 can’t come soon enough… I see watching the epic Avatar, and seeing a teaser for Iron Man 2 around the same time, lol. Man that would be Christmas right before Christmas…

alex says:

they are starting to base it off the civil war outfit

xodiaq says:

I’m actually seeing a few nods to the ultimate Iron Man armor here. I’m way more hopeful seeing this than I was with Mickey Rourke’s bizarre nothing-like-anything Whiplash picture.

I’ve got faith. Iron Man demolished everything Marvel made before, and frankly, after, too. The hall of armor, this pic and the link above… I’m pretty excited to see what all else comes out!

louis says:

this is FAKE it looks like the ironman suit from epic movie

John "Kahless" Taylor says:

@Ken
Oh man! If they show the first trailer for IM 2 in Avatar…. I think I just had a geek overload. :-)

Ken J says:

nerdgasm?? lol
