• ♫It's starting to feel... a LOT like Christmaaas...♫ I think I know where I'm using my dollar quota this December. Might even go for the extra buck for Special Delivery (otherwise it'll get here in February!).

    Inglorious Basterds on DVD?

    Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!

Looks like I'll be doing some serious DVD buying between November and December (I pre-ordered the Star Trek DVD yesterday). :)

No way that'll be the final BluRay/DVD art, at least not for the US. When they've got a big star in their movie like Brad Pitt, the studio is going to stick his face on the cover as big as they can get it. They always do.

i just dont get the line "the new film by quentin tarantino" ... soon it won't be "new". maybe "a film by quentin tarantino". idk. IMHO.

Don't sweat the small stuff Taylor.
So IB is going to be playing in homes around the holidays. Man o man,,, 8-O
  • I loved every nanosecond of this film, it was simply amazing. I hope those extras are also on the DVD, not upgrading to blu ray just yet, although Star Trek is seriously tempting me to do so.
  • @Josh Rose,

As I mentioned, that artwork actually shown in the post is of the Blu-ray edition (Limited Edition, which I forgot to mention - sorry), and the regular version is similar to the character posters for the movie. Here's the link to the UK regular edition of IB so you can see what I mean:

Do you think that cover shows off the film's star(s) well enough? The Blu-ray Limited Edition they can have a more ambiguous, subtle cover for, for the more avid collector. And they have the cover with the big star's face/figure on it to sell to the more general buyer.

This film was amazing. I saw it twice in the theater, and it certainly demands repeated viewings. People take tarantino for granted it seems, but who else makes films like him?
  • Nina
What? No extras on dvd? That would be the worst thing ever! I just love Inglourious Basterds. Seen it four times and hopefully once more before the dvd will be released.
