Lucas is good with general stories, but his scripts leave much to be desired. The problem is, he's so wealthy and powerful that no one has the guts to be honest with him about any mediocrity that shows up in his work. (And even then, there's the question of whether he would listen.) IMHO, after 16 years, the Indiana Jones franchise needs to be taken in a different direction, and Darabont's writing style certainly had the potential to do that. Brian

IMHO, after 16 years, the Indiana Jones franchise needs to be taken in a different direction, and Darabont’s writing style certainly had the potential to do that.
