Weapon 420 says:

oh man, the 4th really threw me off with the whole alien plot, it just doesn’t belong in an Indian Jones movie, stick with archaeological myths and voodoo. shia was pretty good in it though, people complain about harrison fords age but hey, sean connery was still badass at an old age, same with sly stallone.

vladmax says:

It was supposed to be an “Indy” movie, not a scifi flick. Really upset me. Here’s an idea, “Indiana Jones (father or son) and the Search for Shangri La.” That being said, if it’s Indy I’ll watch it…Father or son.

Snake says:

Indy 4 was great. They proved they still got it, so bring on a 5th one.

Josh R says:

Hopefully Spielberg will listen to the backlash and keep to CGI to a respectable minimum.

Manowar says:

Have them look for the lost City of Atlantis…

I like Ike says:

I like Indy

tasouli says:

the fourth was a pretty good movie for me…it tied in the previous movies as well which was also very good…but the way it ended was it…the franchise or at least ford’s role shoudl be put to a rest…now they are just dragging it on and making it a never ending franchise…
being that they will make a sequel because ford probably wants another 50+ mill i think that Ford this time will be more like a Connery to Lebeuf in the movie. I think that Lebeuf will be the real action star and Ford will be teh wingman…sort of like a passing of the torch type of thing…if Ford is swing from branches and fighting villains with his bare fists this will get ridiculous.
I am sure that Ford will also get Lebouf’s mom in the movie pregnant and we will have another kid at teh end of teh movie yatty yatta.
And BTW the last movie was not all that scifi it had some aliens concepts and a flying saucer in it big deal, they still tied it in to the archeological aspect of thhe movie….

Lord Garth, Formerly of Izar says:

Just keep Lucas away from it and Let Ridley Scott Direct

EnglishGavz says:

I was OK with Indy 4, I’m up for 5, we don’t get enough of Ford nower days.

Andy S says:

I liked the 4th film and would totally be open to a 5th. Let’s face it: Indiana Jones is one of the best, if not THE best, action hero to come out of Hollywood. The 4th movie was great, but it did have it’s “Jar Jar” moments like the monkey swinging and the alien ship. I would kind of like Lucas to let Spielberg and Ford come up with a story idea that does not involve too much sci-fi. NO MORE ALIENS. I love seeing Harrison as Indy and I think Harrison still has it in him. I hope that they really don’t have Shia as the focus because then it’s not an Indiana Jones film.

EJK says:

IF I WERE TO RANK THE INDY FILMS I WOULD GO 1-3-2-4, THAT BEING SAID 4 WAS NOT AS TERRIBLE AS PEOPLE MAKE IT OUT TO BE, WAS IT FLAWLESS? OF COURSE NOT, THE PROBLEM WAS CASTING, DIALOGUE, AND SCENE STRUCTURE. HERE IS HOW I WOULD HAVE DONE THE FILM: #1 KAREN ALLEN SHOULD HAVE BEEN NOWHERE NEAR THIS SET, SHE SERVED NO PURPOSE IN THIS FILM WHAT SO EVER, NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THE MEMORABLE CHARACTER SHE PLAYED IN THE FIRST FILM. I WOULD HAVE HAD BLANCHETT PLAY THE LOVE INTEREST, LIKE SHE WAS A FELLOW PROF AT HIS COLLEGE. #2 THEY SHOULD HAVE BROUGHT IN A DIFFERENT SCREENWRITER, KOEPPS DIALOGUE IS SO CHEESY AND PLAYED OUT. LAWRENCE KASDAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN BROUGHT IN FOR THIS PROJECT, HE KNOWS HOW TO WRITE THIS FRANCHISE. TO MUCH CGI: TO MANY SILLY FAR FETCHED SCENES; THE REFRIGERATOR, SWINGING WITH THE MONKEYS, THE TRIPLE WATERFALL, THE SWORDFIGHT ON THE BACK OF THE JEEPS, THE CARCHASE THROUGH NEW HAVEN, ALL PATHETIC. INSTEAD OF INDY 5 I’D LIKE TO SEE A COMPLETE REBOOT IN A FEW YEARS WITH AN ALL NEW CAST AND CREW, ALA STAR TREK. TO ME THATS THE ONLY WAY TO GO FORWARD, GIVE IT A FRESH NEW LOOK AND FEEL AND BRING IT BACK TO THE 1930s WITH A 30-35 YEAR OLD ACTOR PLAYING INDY. I KNOW PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SAY NOBODY BUT FORD CAN PLAY INDY, BUT THOSE SAME PEOPLE PROBABLY THOUGHT NOBODY BUT SHATNER COULD PLAY KIRK AND LOOK HOW WELL THATS TURNED OUT.

Gary says:

Thats fast work Niall!
I just listened to that 1nterview 12 minutes ago!
I hope its a strong story that makes good use of Marion.

mariokilledpeach says:

holy freaking gophers batman!

why oh why, can’t anyone leave the franchise alone! as much as I love (some) sequels I think this is one too many…admittedly (spelling?) I only saw indy iv on a plane with iron man as the other choice so it wasnt gonna hold up but jeez what a load of cock! i am actually quite surprised how many people on here liked it, which is cool but it’s definitely not for me…

i say leave it a little while to see if it gathers any interest and a decent creative spark, look how many years there were beween T1 and T2, Alien and Aliens, hell even Sin City and its fabled sequel

Foopher says:

I’ve enjoyed all 4 movies. But for pete sake, leave the aliens out of this one :P

I guess Speilberg just can’t resist an alien opportunity :)

@ EnglishGavz

a 65 million dollar salary for I4..make no wonder we don’t see much of him anymore…Holey Guacamole!!!

prtfvr says:

All I can picture if they take another decade to film another Indy is a flash forward to whomever is playing Mutt now (presumably Shia) where we will now see THREE pictures prominently displayed on his mantle. Grandpa Jones (Sean Connery), “Indiana” Jones, and Marion Jones – all deceased. Nothing else will be said other then “Golly gee, I sure do miss them all, even gramps whom I’d never met or even knew about until a decade ago. Oh well. Off to another amazing adventure! Bringing up Indy/Mutt Jr.”

Bah, hum bug! By the time Speilberg finds the last remaining sense of fun and humor in himself, I sure hope his son, Max, knows how to write a good screenplay.

I just sense a “passing of the torch” thing. They can do that when Indy’s dead or retired, and Shia’s a believable butt kicker with some life experience under his belt. Right now he’s only tilting at Tranformers.

“Its a warning”

greenknight333 says:

I could not get into I4..at all..after the refrigerator I just turned my brain off and only finished watching it because my wife wanted to finish it…

prtfvr says:

@greenkight333

You’re a brave man, knight! What hell you must have gone through! My mother-in-law and HER mother visited when I4 was first released on PPV. My husband hadn’t gone to see it with me and he NEVER wanted to see it. However, mom wanted to see it and we had busy time to make so he rented it.

I had to listen to a running commentary on how horrible and ridiculous it was and how old Indy was and…it sucks!

You didn’t put YOUR wife through all of that, did you? If he would have seen it in the movies instead of the living room (I’d seen it in the movies) then I wouldn’t have gotten complaints until the moment we left.

And he wonders why I don’t want to watch certain movies with him. Sheesh. I can MST3K my own movies, thank you VERY much! I don’t need the help.

T. says:

They nuked the fridge! Please don’t assault the great history of this once great franchise again. The last one was horrendous.

prtfvr says:

Don’t worry. In 10 more years we’ll get an Indy “Reboot” with an entirely new cast who are never going to be as good as the original but the people 10 years from now don’t even KNOW this Indy guy so it’s all new to them and it’s wonderful or hokey depending on the next generation.

I can’t wait.

greenknight333 says:

@ prtfvr

Nah I quietly sat there watching and just huffed and puffed at certain portions to voice my displeasure!! :)

She’s watched enough of my crap quietly enjoying because I was so it’s nice to be able to return the favour every now and then…

I drew a line in the sand for “Mamma Mia” though..SHe was laughing her butt off at that and she turns to me barely able to contain her laughter and asked “Don’t you find this funny(good funny)?” and I said “I would if I had oavaries Honey!!”

Thank-you…Good night!! :)

790 says:

If your a fan of Pierce Brosnan don’t ever watch Mamma Mia. Ever!!

greenknight333 says:

Hey Pierce can really carry a tune 790…I don’t know how he hasn’t been signed to a record deal yet…

Ken J says:

I think I’m done with Indiana Jones now that LaBeouf and aliens have been introduced to the continuity… Oh, well, it was some fun times back in 1-3…

790 says:

I saw some scenes of him singing GK333, and I thought those were the outtakes.

greenknight333 says:

I was joking 790..I hope you knew that or I’d better throw my 2000+ cd’s in the trash.. :) ANd they were bad even for out takes…

790 says:

Yeah I knew you were joking. I wasn’t though. His scenes are disturbing. ;-)

greenknight333 says:

WHew!! Dodged a bullet there ;)

790 says:

I found out today that Shia has signed on for Indy 5. He’s not just talking about it he’s going to be in it.
