The world's greatest fashion designer, Edna Mode, is the focal point in a new mockumentary short for The Incredibles 2. If the past decade has proven anything, it's that Pixar Studios has never been afraid of making sequels to their previous titles - even the ones that some critics and fans didn't necessarily ask for. But if there's been one beloved Pixar film that fans have been demanding to see a follow-up to over the years, it's director Brad Bird's 2004 animated superhero flick, The Incredibles, which followed a family of superheroes living in a world where being one was banned by the government. But when they came together to stop a common threat by the end of the film, The Incredibles made it possible for superheroes to come out into the public again.

With an ending that seemingly set up the possibility for a direct sequel, many fans wondered why it took the studio and Brad Bird so long to begin work on the franchise again. But fortunately, next year those fans will finally have their wishes granted when The Incredibles 2 zooms into theaters in the summer. And in addition to a number of new details and footage from The Incredibles 2, Disney and Pixar have released a brand new short mockumentary to go along with the film's D23 presentation.

Instead of the mockumentary focusing on the titular family of heroes, the funny short is all about Edna Mode (voiced by Bird himself), the high-class fashion designer that was introduced in the first Incredibles film. The short mockumentary features a number of appearances from high profile names in the actual fashion world - including Heidi Klum, Kendall Jenner, Zac Posen, Rachel Zoe, and more - all of whom praise Edna for making their lives that much more stylish. Edna Mode - The Incredibles

Edna Mode was one of the breakout stars of the first Incredibles, thanks to her humorous banter with the film's titular family, and her appreciation for classic superhero costume designs. Now, assuming that this short comes as a possible confirmation of Edna's involvement in the sequel, this is just the latest bit of news to confirm that The Incredibles 2 will be doing everything it can to recapture the nearly inimitable magic of its predecessor. And even with Bird's return at the helm, that'll be a difficult feat, since through the years The Incredibles has remained one of the more beloved and appreciated of all the Pixar films.

The release of this mockumentary comes after a string of exciting announcements about the sequel also, which revealed that not only will the sequel pick up immediately after the events of the first Incredibles, but that its main character will actually be Holly Hunter's Elastigirl. And with the film coming together more and more as of late, it's becoming increasingly clear that The Incredibles 2 is one of the more anticipated sequels that Pixar has ever released, with equally high expectations to live up to.
