Inception teaser trailer header

Even if Christopher Nolan’s upcoming mystery flick Inception has had its first teaser trailer released, it still feels like we don’t know what the film is really about. Little tidbits of info about the diverse cast’s roles (Leonardo DiCaprio plays a, “CEO type,” for example) have been released, along with the much-repeated cryptic teaser line that the film is “a contemporary sci-fi thriller set within the architecture of the mind.” Then came photos from the set of the movie, and heck even the (probable) plot was revealed last month.

But something about Inception still seems shrouded in mystery…

Adding to the set photos we have already, today we have three videos straight from the set of Inception. As you’ll see in one of the videos below, apparently in Inception‘s world, (freight) trains don’t needs tracks to run on. The other two show some off-screen gunfire (with the video taken from the rooftop above) and the start of what appears to be some sort of car chase sequence. Check out the three videos below:

Just when you thought Inception couldn’t get any stranger, a freight train goes rolling past in the middle of a city street! [Possible SPOILER ahead] Could this be part of a dream sequence? As stated, probable plot details were revealed recently, which claim the film involves entering and manipulating people’s dreams, and a train going down a street in the middle of a city isn’t something you see everyday in real life, so a dream is what I’m going to guess at [End of possible SPOILER].

Nothing all that exciting about the second and third videos – but hey, at least it’s something, right? :P

Continue to pg. 2 for details on how YOU can visit the Inception set.

Christopher Nolan filming

In related Inception news, would you and a guest like to be the lucky SOBs that get to visit the set? How about being a kind human being and giving money to charity while your at it? If the answer to those two questions is “Hell yeah!” then this is your lucky day:

The Pablove Foundation is charity auctioning two VIP tickets for you and a guest to visit the set of Inception on October 12th, 2009, to watch Christopher Nolan hard at work, doing what he does as one of today’s best filmmakers (that’s just my opinion – is anyone going to correct me?). Not only that, but you will also have lunch with Nolan; will be able to ask him questions of your choice (I’m sure Batman 3 will be on your mind); will be allowed to get three things signed (three each for you and whomever you decide to bring with you) and have your photo taken to remember the occasion (as if you’d forget!).

Sound good? Thinking about bidding? Well, if you are then you’ll need to act QUICK as the auction (which as I’m typing this sits at $2,750.00) ends at approximately 17:46 PST (that’s Los Angeles time). The set is in LA, so you’ll probably need to live either in the city or somewhere near (unless you don’t mind forking out the money for a plane ticket). If you still want to bid, you can head over to the Ebay auction page where full terms and conditions can be found (I recommend you read them thoroughly before bidding on such a high-priced item).

Remember, this is for charity, so if you need more incentive than the actual set visit, the lunch with Nolan, the autographs and the photo, then remember it’s for a good cause.

If you ARE bidding, then good luck!

What do you think of the three set videos of Inception? Any idea why there’s a train going down a busy city street on no tracks? And are you tempted to bid on the set visit tickets? If only I had the money lying around…

Inception is currently filming and has a release date of July 16th, 2010.

  1. man i wish had cash like that i would love to go. man how cool would it be to ask him about batman i mean dam that would be awsome inside info straight from the horses mouth. I say the train is a trippy sequnce in the movie probably a dream but maybe a glimpse of the future?

  2. not sure he’s really looking forward to talking about batman right now. there is a ton of pressure on him to start working on batman soon.

  3. Personally,I like the fact that they are keeping the plot a little more unknown than most other movies.I think that a lot of times when you go into a movie knowing all the spoilers and everything else about it,then what’s the point of actually going to see if if you already know.

I hope that they can keep this one under wraps. It just might add to the overall effect of what Nolan is trying to create with this movie.I’m going to cut myself off from any further information regarding this film.I’m gonna go into it as fresh as I possibly can and hope that’s the point of it.
