TruTV is sending Impractical Jokers to Comic-Con this year, and thanks to DC comics, Sal, Joe, Murr and Q will be bringing with them their new one-off origin comic book, “The Secret Origin of truTV's Impractical Jokers.” But more importantly, Impractical Jokers has officially been renewed for season 3! (So now everyone can stop pretending that the new episodes set to air August 1 are season 3; something the Jokers’ contracts would agree with, I’m sure.)

Along with a 15-episode third season, Impractical Jokers will be getting a post-show addition in the form of Jokers After Party, a sister show featuring Sal, Joe, Murr and Q talking about their favorite moments of the series. Jokers After Party only has a 6-episode order right now, but it’ll likely fall in the same vein as the companion episodes they did a while back, where the guys hung out on the stoop and gave a bit of a behind-the-scenes look at the dares.

Unfortunately, there’s no panel scheduled for Impractical Jokers at Comic-Con this year, but the show will also be taking over their favorite breakfast joint in the area, The Broken Yolk Café (also a staple for Screen Rant founder Vic Holtreman) where everything will have an Impractical Jokers twist to it. Sal, Joe, Murr and Q will be appearing at The Broken Yolk Café on Saturday to meet fans and sign copies of their comic book.

If that’s still not enough Impractical Jokers news for you: truTV will also be making each of the guys’ favorite episodes available to download from iTunes for free each week in July, and each episode will include a special introduction by the Joker who chose it.

Impractical Jokers is set to begin its second-half of season 2 on August 1, where Sal, Joe, Murr and Q will be adding some all-new dares (and punishments) to the collection of fan-favorites. But before that even begins, it appears that all these announcements mean that truTV is sticking with the Jokers for the long haul and, more importantly, finally giving the show the respect (and promotion) that it deserves.
