How come it’s being released stateside so late?

Not that I care, since I don’t live there. Serves ye right to be the last ones for a change.

Totally awesome film. Love, love, loved it. I agree that the real world wasn’t very exciting, but it always made the fantasy parts SO much better.

Also, Jude Law’s best performance ever? I don’t really care much for the guy, and I don’t think he’s a great actor – not even in this – but he really WENT for it here. I didn’t know how he could compare alongside Depp and Ledger (and even the bould Farrell), but he survived. Even if he looked more Devilish than the devil…

Good review Ross, didn’t give much away, yet conveyed an overall vibe,,,

I watched the preview for this during Scream Awards, and I was impressed!!!
It looks cool and wow Ledgers last role, its a must see,,,

And I agree “12 Monkeys” is a classic!
Gilliam, is one of the greats !!!

I can’t wait for this to be released here in the states! I’m so glad to hear you say that the whole 4 actors playing 1 role thing worked out. I was so worried it wouldn’t, but like you said, you have to “see it to get it”, so I suppose I’ll have to wait a couple of months for it to come out here.

I’ve been excited about this since they were working on it. It sounded so intriguing and fun. I’ve always enjoyed Christopher Plummer, Terry Gilliam, and Heath Ledger.
Then. . . I read that Terry Gilliam has lent his support to Roman Polanski and that disgusts me as a woman. I’ve been boycotting anyone coming out in his support, and I’ll never make any difference. . .but I’m not trying to. I’m just bummed that I won’t be seeing this movie that has so intrigued me.

I loved 12 Monkey’s and any director that can be mentioned in the same breath as David Lynch is good in my book.
