[UPDATE: If you're looking for the actual Iron Man Superbowl trailer/commercial we now have here.]
I’m looking forward to the Iron Man Super Bowl trailer which airs Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 7:30 PM Eastern time, then it’ll be online at Marvel.com and other sites. Already Marvel.com has a small taste of what we’re in for. Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) testing the Iron Man tech!
Man oh man, I’m getting more and more excited for this film! Both Vic and I are big-time Iron Man fans, and we’re happy with everything so far. I can’t wait to see the Super Bowl trailer this Sunday, February 3, 2008! We’re three months away from the May 2, 2008 opening of the film, so expect a blitzkrieg of advertising and merchandising in the coming weeks.
See a bigger version after the jump.

Truely breath-taking and jaw-dropping!
january, february, march, april then MAY so we are good 4 months away thou so looking forward to this movie not diging any dirrrt on so that i dont spoil the movie.
Actually, I’m pretty sure that today is the first day of February, so you can cross January off your list.
The film opens in precisely 90 days.
Vic
Oh, and don’t forget… I’m betting that we see our first trailer for “The Incredible Hulk” on Sunday. If we don’t, that’s a huge missed opportunity for Marvel to get the word out on THAT film.
Vic
I can’t wait for this trailer to air. I will be out sunday, but I am sure tivo will come to the rescue! And I agree with you vic, I look to see a hulk teaser on sunday as well, maybe not a full trailer, but something.
Everytime I get bored with the same pictures in diffrent angles, then somthing incredible like this pops out. Priceless.
What if Marvel is getting slightly cold feet with the Hulk trailer? 5 years ago, everyone complained that the Super Bowl trailer for the first Hulk was too cartoony…

Very cool image. And I am as stoked for this film as you are my friends. I’ve been an Iron Man fan since I was 12, so this is a film I have been eagerly anticipating for some time now. I was actually worried when I first heard that an Iron Man film was being made though. I thought, oh no! What if they screw it up? But I have a lot of faith in Jon Favreau and everyone working on this film. Every teaser and interview so far has me convinced that they will do it justice.
WOOOT!!! WOOOOOOOOOOT!!!!
BRING IT OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:-D
i swear if i see another image im going to get a heart attack from so much excitement.
Everything said above AND hes got a Cobra in his garage!
Looks like a cool shot! I’ll have to wait until Monday to see this (hopefully on ScreenRant?).
I’m not subjecting myself to watch football for any comercial. The entire event is a comercial.
Ok bring on the hate mail,,,,I got my shoulder pads on.
LOL, I don’t watch the game. I throw a party, those who want to watch, do, while I talk to other geeks like myself. Then I pay attention when the commercials come on.
Vic
When I first saw it, I thought it was a toy. It looks kinda cartoony. Proly cuz the cars look blurry. I wonder how much of the trailer WE’VE been watching will be cut into Sunday’s trailer? Or is it all unseen stuff?
Heath,
What was with the original post (in the daily e-mail) about seeing this at Marvel.com at 7:30 Feb 1?
Vic,
I’m almost as geeky as you. I just record the whole thing and then fast forward to the commercials. I would love to be at a party like yours where the focus is in the right place!
Steve,
You keep saying ‘bring on the hate mail’ but it just ain’t happenin. I’m sure there’s nothin but love in this place. Except maybe on the Cloverfield thread
Thanks Jim, I just said that because I’ve been going against the grain lately…
^
Yea the Cloverfield post is almost like being there.
SHH! worded their article weird and in the same sentence as the “tease” from Marvel.com (that picture) they gave the time of the Super Bowl ad. I thought they meant something on 2-1-08. I corrected it.

“Lord, please, please, please don’t let this movie suck! OH, and while you’re at it, can you have the Giants win the Superbowl on Sunday? Thanks!”
HEY, what’s the name of Vic’s Iron Man site? It’s on the tip of my tongue, I’ve skimmed over the whole thread & haven’t found it.
Hey Jim, the address is http://www.advancediron.org

It just ran: 6:12CDT. ECSTASY!!!
…and the Giants fumble.
Somehow they kept it…
HEROES AREN’T BORN
THEY’RE BUILT
Great commercial! (Following a lame Clydesdale ad.)
Loved the music-clanking-power tool motif.
Loved the “Yeah, I can fly” statement which puts to bed the rumor that he’d not fly in the movie.
The shot fired in the last scene was a great signoff. (Obviously he was wearing the Swagger Armor there.)
That Iron Man Movie trailer rocked!!
