There will be plenty of bonus goodies included in the Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity special “Treasure Box” edition, including a blanket patterned after The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild's Paraglider. The sequel to 2014’s Hyrule Warriors, which mixed the setting and characters of Nintendo’s iconic RPG franchise with the fast-paced, hack and slash action of the Dynasty Warriors series to reasonable success, was announced earlier this month as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, set during the eponymous Great Calamity.

More information about Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity was revealed via extended gameplay and story trailers during today’s digital Tokyo Game Show, which showed off several minutes of gameplay footage, as well as the game’s newest playable character, a young version of Breath Of The Wild’s wizened Sheikah sage, Impa. While there is still some concern over the less-than-stealer voice acting shown off so far, excitement is still running high for Age Of Calamity’s planned release on November 20, and naturally, there will be a special edition packed with fun little bonus items for particularly dedicated Zelda fans.

Dedicated Hyrulean news outlet Zelda Universe reports the contents of the recently announced Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity’s Treasure Box edition, a premium collector's edition that includes the game itself, an acrylic art plate of its vibrant box art, a small metal charm of the game’s “baby” Guardian character, and a blanket adorned with the pattern on Link’s trusty paraglider, all of which aside from the physical game box remains unfinalized . The Treasure Box edition has only been seen on Japanese websites so far, but a release in the West is naturally expected when the vanilla version of the game releases on November 20. The current price for this bundle is listed at 16,720 yen, or about $160 USD.

Hyrule Warriors Age Of Calamity Special Edition

Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity will also have many in-game bonuses for fans willing to shell out their hard-earned Rupees, such as the humorous Lucky Ladle DLC weapon which was based off of internet memes surrounding Link’s affinity for cooking in Breath Of The Wild. Not only that, but Nintendo is also planning to release a special line of Amiibo toys to coincide with Age Of Calamity’s launch. Indeed, it seems that the next few months will be an exciting time for fans of The Legend of Zelda, between both this new game and the previously rumored Breath Of The Wild sequel possibly being released sometime in the coming year.

As for Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity, the bonus items for the game’s Treasure Box special edition look quite nice, especially the Breath Of The Wild Paraglider blanket. Its colors and pattern are captured well, making it a nice decorative piece to drape over a player’s chair as they fire up a round of Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity when it finally arrives.
