Sorry...missed one point. When it finally happens, it will likely manifest as some package oriented Premium service. That will be comprised of a "bundle" of 20% cool things most people watch, added/lumped into some larger package of things people don't.

This is most likely a desensitizing move. It's common in every industry or even socio-political endeavor. Keep bringing the issue up. It's "unthinkable" at first, "unlikely later"...until, ultimately, "it was inevitable." Take, for example, when Governor Schwarzenegger took office in CA. He swore that Indian gaming would be limited. Then, through a series or 'erosion' oriented ad campaigns, it eventually became labeled as a significant source of revenue for the state. Don't know, don't care really...but it shows how you can change people's minds by simply making them too darned tired of hearing about it. Then, later, it simply becomes some simple 'auto-debit' that they add onto their entertainment expenses.

Why? Because what the *&!# can we do about it? Ultimately, people have short attention spans. And if we (should have) learned anything in the last ten years (and especially in the last year), it would be that you can erode people's opinion on anything, and the pass whatever rule of operation you choose.
