Hulk Smash Iron Man 2 Rumors!

iron man 2 edward norton bruce banner Hulk Smash Iron Man 2 Rumors!

At the beginning of August, rumors surfaced about Ed Norton that said he might be making one wish of many Marvel fans come true in having an appearance in Iron Man 2 as Bruce Banner and possibly The Hulk.

This would have confirmed Norton’s involvement in Marvel’s upcoming slate of films and Hulk’s position on the roster of heroes in The Avengers.

Unfortunately, Norton doesn’t seem to know much about that nor does he have that much to say about it…

MTV News caught up with Ed Norton at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) and asked him about the rumor and if he’ll be in Iron Man 2.

“I heard that. I don’t know where that’s coming from… I am not in ‘Iron Man 2′ to my knowledge.”

Maybe he just doesn’t know yet…

Damn. That sounds like a big “no” but if he was, I doubt he’d be allowed to talk about it yet. Every time I think about this, I wonder how he couldn’t be in The Avengers or have a cameo in IM2. Robert Downey Jr. had a cameo in his Hulk movie after all – He’s gotta repay the favor!

On that note, we will get to see at least one hero make a cameo and that’s likely Chris Hemsworth who’s of course playing Thor. He and Downey have screentested together and all the upcoming movies will likely have the other main characters make an appearance, building toward their epic team-up.

On the other hand, I wonder if Mr. Norton really wants to be a part of Marvel’s future after the little issues surrounding the production of The Incredible Hulk. He didn’t seem to enthused about the idea of The Avengers when asked about it last summer (actuallly, a year ago yesterday). Here’s what he said back then on the topic:

“The minds of Marvel are sometimes opaque,”

“I won’t say [they're] obtuse, but I don’t have any idea what they want to do.”

“They’ve got this notion of collecting the Marvel characters”

“Who knows where they’ll go?”

That didn’t sound promising at all, at the time, but since then, things haven’t sounded so gloom with all the speculation about a Hulk sequel and his possible appearances in the other Marvel films.

  1. This is my last off topic rant (Vic) on this thread. Promise!!!! ;-)

Mcat, I’ve heard worse and it doesn’t faze me.
    Ogb, big whatever to you,,,

No Ken, I’m not paranoid about having a profile online, its not something I fear at all,,, TPTB (the powers that be) are more worried about ppl like you figuring out all the lies you’ve been told.

I’ll leave you all with a few crazy conspiracy quotes that I hope you will think about,,, even you Mcat.

Just look at us. Everything is backwards, everything is upside down. Doctors destroy heath, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroys information and the religions destroy spirituality.

It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth becomes the greatest enemy of the state.

Norton’s a moron for believing in obama. That’s my last line on this,,,
    I’m out!!!

  2. i text, as i believe most people do, when i have a small bit of info to say and i don’t need to call someone to say it. you have to get through the routine phone greetings to say two words. texting avoids that. plus, why waste minutes when texting is free. it was also great in class in college. i also don’t see how it is archaic.

@ Ken. why are you still contacting your ex at 6am? you should probably move on.
why can’t you just wait a couple hours to send a message when people are awake?

  3. I just got here…what’d I miss?

  4. 790

I really respect your moxy!! Stick to your guns no matter what!! I am getting tired of that myself the older I get !! I find that as I get older, conformity becomes something that is just easier for me to do..Not the most noble I know but all my good creative energy and my energy to keep up the good fight with government and corporations, I find, is better spent for me on my children and my family!! Maybe when I retire and the kids are doing their own thing I will be able to refocus and fight the good fight again!!

All the best to you 790!!
    I admire you!!

    Best Regards
    GK333

  5. hahaha WOW

Did not expect to find these kinds of ppl on Screen Rant

    Crazy

  6. Trying to pick another fight are you ogb? Seems like that’s all you’re any good for!

  7. No

But take your holier than than conversation else where.

Conspiracy nuts speak about the rest of us as “sheep” doesn’t exactly sit well with me.

  8. Thanks GK333!!!, I appreciate it, also thanks to Vic, and Bruce,,,!!! who put up with my s**t on a weekly/daily basis… ;-)

The time is now, if I can wake up even one person here its worth all the crap I get from obg, ken and mcat….

  9. The truth hurts eh, obg,,, ???

  10. @ ogb

“But take your holier than than conversation else where.”

Don’t have to, don’t need to. Don’t read the comments if you can’t take it!! :)

And be careful ogb I hear Little Bo Peep calling for you..

  11. I’m sorry ogb that was Ba-ah-ah-ah-ad!! ;)

  12. Well I’m glad you two nut jobs found each other.

Preach your babel to someone else. The real truth is too ugly for you so you cling on to this nonsense to make yourself feel special and better than everyone else.

    Truly sad.

  13. ogb

ow… you hurt my feeling!! Please stop!! Please! It’s not my fault you obviously are an even-toed ungulate who falls into a dominance hierarchy system that is definitely ovine in nature.. Bellwethers ogb? Better get one!! :)

  14. @ 790

I didn’t realize we are so babelic in nature…and here I thought that it was the masses that were burying their heads in the sands to hide from the real truth when in fact all along it was us 790…who knew? I am really taken aback by this startling revelation..Thank-you ogb, where would we be without you?

  15. Wow, how the hell did I miss this exchange?

You guys cool it right now – you should know better according to how I run this site.

    Vic

  16. Yeah Obg me and GK333 have been Screen Rant friends for almost a year or more,,, sorry your not in the club,,,

    You (obg) say,,,
“Preach your babel to someone else. The real truth is too ugly for you”, are you high on meth or in a cult??? Your version of reality is restricted and without a doubt debatable,,,

Yeah Hulk cameo,,,!!! (trying to stay on topic) !!!
Would love to see Hulk cameo in IM2!!!

  17. I truely hope Ed Norton returns to this role and is a full part of brining these woderful stories to the big screen with the best actors around. I hope Marvel & himself can behave like grown ups and sort out their problems ASAP. They done a brilliant job turning The Hulk back around last year and saving him for future films. We can all see where we’d love the Marvel movies to go now towards The Avengers – but we need all the actors to stay with it.

  18. @cantizzle

dammit man, I should have known you were just messing with me… dammit… :-P

    @MCat

Uh, I think that was a bit unnecessary… I mean, yah, he’s called me names too, but whatever, still gonna defend the guy, THIS TIME, lol.

  19. what? for saying he sounds like an idiot sometimes? you want me to lie?
he said I don’t see things that are right in front of my face, because as part of society I’m blind to certain things. that’s just another way of saying I’m an idiot to obvious things in life so whatever.

  20. I would like a Hulk cameo in IM2, better still I would like a cameo of a frozen cryogenic tube labelled “Steve Rogers” with a hand movement or something (signifying his awakening) that would be great as they wouldn’t even need an actor.

also recast norton, pompous a**hole who needs him

also also: to the person who said without norton we would get another daredevil etc they werent made by marvel so the argument holds no ground

    @ Winston Smith aka 790
Kudos to you and I agree with most things you have said, except for the facebook thing, I think having a private profile containing actual friends is of no harm

to the rest of people: twitter is the ultimate low and proves our society is descending further and further into dissolution. As does this obsession with celebrity gossip… I really dont want to be apart of a race/society that looks to a mediocre “musician/gossip fodder” such as pink for inspiration… god help us (<—expression as i dont believe in religion)

  21. Thanks Shamose, I appreciate it!!!!

    :-)

  22. Geez, you guys are talking about my Pink statement like I’m some kind of celebrity geek. Come on, I think I’m the LAST person to look up to celebrities. I think 90% of entertainers are not in touch with the real world. I brought up Pink because I was glad that COMPARED TO MY PERCEPTION OF OTHER ARTISTS OF HER GENRE I’m glad she was better than that, but it’s really not saying much…

  23. One of my friends was saying that a study shows that Twitter is making people dumber, making people have short-term memory loss, lol.

  24. haha I would believe it
have you been on the internet recently? The grammar, spelling and mannerisms are atrocious, I really do fear for the future

  25. @Ken J

Regarding Twitter… uh… I forgot what I was going to say.

    8)

    Vic

  26. Speaking of Twitter, I use it to share news items and such. You all better be following me, I only have like 80 compared to Vic’ 4000+ lol

  27. Well I say Twitter is for twits…now berfore I am lambasted by Rob and Vic..I know you need to use Twitter as a part of your blogging but it’s definitely not for me!!

@ Ken there are also studies that show that people that listen to modern pop music have lower IQs as well..what does that say about Beyonce and Jay z and Pink , etc,..?

  28. Twitter is for twats…most of the time…just like facebook, it depends on how and and to what purpose you use it.

But ppl that follow celebrity twitters are hopeless.

  29. @ogb

Actually, that same study found that going on facebook, keeping track of your friends and doing things like that actually improve brain function, it just found that these quick burst information stuff like Twitter and text messaging messes up your memory and your ability to apply critical thinking, lol.

So facebook is actually good, who would have guessed, but Twitter is bad, well, that’s obvious…

    @GK

I don’t know, I never thought the content of that kind of music to be intelligent or mature, so don’t listen to it. I would say what I listen to but know I will get a lot of crap for it, lol. :-P

One thing I do notice is that a large percentage of people who listen to rap music and embrace the rap/hip-hop culture tend to have insecurity issues. They tend to feel like they always have something to prove. Thus the constant fighting, putting big mufflers on their car, anything to draw attention to themselves and all effort is put into trying to appear “cool” or “hip” to those around them. They really think people are watching them all the time, that’s probably why they spend 30 minutes in front of the mirror making sure their cap is just crooked enough, their facial hair is shaved all cool looking, their pants are hanging down just enough, their shirts are big enough, enough of their fake but overly flashy “bling” is visible from all sides, and even the way they walk, they have to walk in a way that they hope will draw attention. They like to put flashing lights on their car that stays on even when it’s off, because even the idea that their car is drawing attention even without them in it makes them feel better. They have to install those tv screens in their headrest even if nobody usually rides in the back, and those screens have to be on while they’re driving even if it’s just static or a blue screen just so other drivers know they have them there. I can go on and on, all classic signs of insecurity issues, and those rap videos play right into that. That’s why they are all the same…

But the issue here, just because you find a correlation, how can you prove which is the cause and which is the effect? When you say the study shows people who listen to pop has a lower IQ, is it the pop music that causes it? Or is it that people with lower IQ listen to pop? I don’t know. The thing about Twitter is that its popularity is relatively new, so you can study before and after effects and compare similar groups of people, but with Pop music, I think music choice is so subjective it’s hard to separate them “equally” to study the test subjects accurately to determine the causality…
