Joseph Abdin was playing a great Big Brother 24 game until the Split House twist ruined everything, and he was ultimately evicted. Joseph, a 25-year-old lawyer from Lake Worth, Florida, was a member of the dominant seven-person alliance, The Leftovers, along with Michael Bruner, Kyle Capener, Taylor Hale, Brittany Hoopes, Monte Taylor, and Matt "Turner" Turner. He and Kyle were also acting as double agents with the other unknowing members of the Five Swatters alliance, Jasmine Davis, Alyssa Snider, and Indy Santos. Despite not winning any competitions, Joseph was seen as a physical threat in the house. He also had an impeccable social game as he was well-liked by everyone.

The Leftovers were dominating the game until the Split House twist divided them into two groups. For the first time in Big Brother history, the houseguests played two different games at the same time with no contact with one another. In a surprising twist, one group played inside the Big Brother house while the other played outside. Michael won the Head of Household (HOH) competition and became the leader of the indoor Big Brochella game, choosing Brittany, Taylor, Monte, and Jasmine for his group. Terrance came in second and was the head of the outdoor Dyre Fest group, which included his team of Alyssa, Joseph, Kyle, and Turner.

Joseph's game was ultimately ruined by the Big Brother Split House twist. Since some of the members of the Leftovers who are a part of Dyre Fest had an HOH outside of the alliance, Kyle panicked and told Alyssa and Terrance everything about his alliance. After this was revealed, Terrance nominated Turner and Joseph for eviction, but he eventually won the Power of Veto and saved Turner, replacing him with Kyle. Terrance decided the bromance between Joseph and Monte was more of a threat than Kyle and Alyssa's showmance and wanted Joseph evicted. When he was in the Diary Room, Turner, Kyle, Alyssa, and Terrance formed a new alliance called the After Party because they were unsure where they would stand with the Big Brochella members who had been bonding with each other indoors all week. They evicted Joseph, who followed Big Brochella's Jasmine during the double eviction.

The Split House twist destroyed Joseph's game as it essentially made each group function as though they were in the Final 5 of the competition instead of the Final 10. There were enough people in The Leftovers to protect Joseph, but when the house split in half, he no longer had the votes to stay. He is also seen as a bigger threat outside than inside the Big Brother house with Michael, Monte, and Taylor as they have won competitions. However, Joseph became the number one target at Dyre Fest due to his physical prowess; plus, Kyle and Alyssa twisted Joseph's role in the Five Swatters to make it look like he was untrustworthy, even though Kyle was doing the same thing.

Joseph was loyal to The Leftovers to a fault, even volunteering to go on the chopping block as a replacement nominee during Taylor's HOH to help hide the Leftovers alliance. After his eviction, Joseph told host Julie Chen Moonves that he wanted to remain loyal to his Leftovers alliance and play a game that kept his moral compass in line. Overall, Joseph didn't regret not throwing his alliance members under the bus at Dyre Fest, unlike Kyle.

Until the Big Brother Split House twist, Joseph had been playing a lowkey game and staying under the radar. He was having fun participating in aspects of the game, like Taylor's punishment when he had to be chained to her for 48 hours. Joseph is now a member of the jury who will decide who wins the $750,000 grand prize. Joseph has quickly become a fan favorite, and viewers were devastated to see him leave the game in such a heartbreaking way.
