Evidently, the term "allegedly" gets used too much, or so they say. Theoretically, one could substitute a different word with the same or, presumably, a similar meaning. Obstensibly, these words are uncommon, so hypotetically only uncommon people would use them to avoid over-using a seemingly common word like "allegedly". Niall, No offense to you bud.
