As a diehard fan of the series myself I was a bit bugged with the fact that they only showed glimpses and small parts of his horribe upbringing. Even though it's not a huge part in the games, it still a meaningful explanation to why the man, if you may call him that, is and does what he does. Olyphant was a perfect choice. I can't remember one actor who's been cast and as perfect for a role based on a comic book or video game than Olyphant was as 47. Maybe Toby Maguire as Peter Parker is in his class as well. I hope this movie won't be what the latest Bond film is, a huge dissapointment in a franclhise that seemed to be gaining some credibility. Casino Royale was the best Bond movie by far and it was followed by just another, 80s and 90s esque bond film. Explositions, hot chicks and a story for the distracted. I had my son watch it too and he said that if he hadn't have played the game then he would have thought the movie was pretty good. He's still bent that Jason Statham didn't get the role. He was a fan fave for Agent 47 from the word go. I thought Olyphant did a great job. They also stayed true to his character. Or as my son said "Agent 47 never has sex, never. That would have ruined the entire character from the game." So I hope that Olyphant comes back. He worked hard to get the body for it - he's usually a very thin guy. He even looked good bald and he was cool. I loved all the fight scenes. I loved that he kept his guns in the hotel ice machine. Loved the sword fight in the train. Honor among thieves/murderers?
