‘Heroes: Villains’ Is Over – What Did You Think?

So it’s finally over – This half season of Heroes has been hotly debated over the past few months… It started off with a bang but then seemed to quickly spiral into confusion and convoluted plots and character motivations. However by the end of the arc it seemed to find its footing again and I thought it came to a pretty satisfying conclusion.

The series will return in February with yet another chapter: Heroes: Fugitives, and it looks like Nathan Petrelli has turned into a major schmuck. I’m hoping they back off of the whole time travel/save the future thing and just deal with the here and now (and that’s what it’s looking like they’re going to do).

So anyway, I thought I’d throw up this post to discuss the Villains arc now that it’s done and to speculate about the upcoming Fugitives plot. I’m assuming anyone commenting here has seen the entire season, so there WILL be spoilers below!

Have at it!

  1. I have always wanted to know more about Charles Deveaux (Richard Roundtree) and his powers. Anyone else think this will be explained some day?

    From Wikipedia
    >> [Deveaux] appeared, whether as a dream figure, as part of a time-travel journey of Peter’s, similarly to Sanjog Iyer, or by some other mechanism is left deliberately unclear — and seemed able to see Peter while the latter is invisible to others in the “dream” (Such as his mother and Simone).[10] Charles was part of a previous generation of “heroes”, with Angela Petrelli, Kaito Nakamura, Linderman and others, who all were the founders of the Company.<<

  2. The Sylar thing has gotten really old too. He’s bad, he’s good, he’s bad, he might be good, oh wait…….nope he’s defintely bad. He’s dead, he’s alive, he’s dead, he’s alive……oh wait, he might be alive. I didn’t think it was possible but they’ve actually reversed his character development.

  3. i loved season 3 except for the three episodes before our father im also dissapointed they didnt do arthur justice he never did much damage but i guess his legacy lives on through Nathan
But killing off Adam and Maury was a bad idea their characters had so much potential
and it was just waisted by them being killed off straight away also the Sylar Elle story was really rubbish
is the world still gonna split in 2?

  4. Why out of all of the people on the show; the sexual being is the hispanic woman. Its almost as bad a cliche as the oversexed black woman!

  5. Maya, the Mexican Mascara Murderess, is “the sexual being”? [rolls eyes]

What about the dozen episodes where Jessica played Internet Temptress and played patty cake with Senator-e_ect Nathan Patrelli.

I don’t know about oversexed black women–sure didn’t get that vibe from Nana Dawson and Monica.

  6. I didn’t think Tony was dead (another show), and I sure don’t think Arthur Petrelli is dead. Adam Monroe–he sure looked like he cashed in his final chips. Maybe Petrelli’s blood will mingle with Monroe’s ashes to create one (more) Reset Button.

  7. @SYC

Yeah… I’m sorry Lotta but it seems to me you’re just looking for something racial where nothing exists. In season one Jessica did online videocam porn for crying out loud.
