While I agree that Parkman has been focused on quite a bit, I think its time to bring the evil side of him out and who better than sylar?

This is what I would like to see. When he quashed sylars mind and imprinted a new personality he has kept a record of sylars mind in his head, what if he could imprint sylars mind not just into sylar but several other people as well. Sylar could go from being one man with several powers to several people. Put himself into a few key areas of the white house and voila, he has virtual control. Parkman can turn from telepath to puppet master.

What if Parkman with the use of sylar can learn mental abilities? Perfect memory recall, faster learning, I mean all he has to do is ream the minds of several very clever people and he would have all their knowledge in his head right?

Ultimately have a showdown between Nathan who is really just a brain washed Sylar end up facing his evil mental projection.

Still despite all of our lamenting about the show, its far superior to most others right?

hmm, the premiere was ok. wasn’t great but wasn’t bad. we’ll see how the show progresses through the year. if it doesn’t do well, they’ll probably cancel it cause theyve been thinking of cancel since last year’s season which was a letdown.

I liked the opening of Season 4. I heard somewhere that they have the original writer back so we might get to see the awesomeness season 1 was. Sometimes, it’s good to start off slow and work into something bigger and cooler. Peter is my favorite character, along with Matt, Mohinder, Sylar and often H.R.G. Peter should not be killed off, and as much as i hate it, Nathan should stay dead, and Peter should find out. We know Sylar is gonna be Sylar again, but since he’s invaded Matt’s mind, maybe he can end up turning him somewhat evil like Maury Parkman. H.R.G. should get his own storyline, seperate from Claire, dealing with the little life he has left. I loveee Mohinder and he needs to come back. As for the carnival, Samuel and the rest of them look awesome. I think it should boil down to a battle between The Carnival and the newly reformed Company.

For things not happening quickly enough I have two things to say. First two episodes, and S1 started slowly as well. Although I like to disagree that nothing happened. There was more character development than most of S3, and they made me curious about this new Carny villains thing. I want to know more, and I haven’t been this excited in along time.

As for the Matt/Sylar thing, it seems that people didn’t get the fact that Sylar made Matt use his power against the water delivery guy. Why wouldn’t he be freaking out. He’s not imagining Sylar (I thought they made this clear), he’s got Sylar’s consciousness stuck in his head.

I also like Clair’s new friend. She’ll be useful since Claire seems to be a walking death magnate.

Mohinder will be back, don’t worry.
On the “Nothing really happened”, I think we’ve had more character development in those episodes than in 89% of S3, which says a lot.
There are pro and cons, but I personnally prefer it that way. I don’t watch Heroes to see things explodes or action-packed storylines (see V3…). I watched 30 minutes of Transformers and that was enough for me. No redemption yet but unless they screw it up, it could be on the way.
Personally, I felt things happened slowly in S1 too. The difference is that we were learning about the characters and had the “new” factor, thing that has of course vanished since then.

On the good, I’ll put Peter, HRG, the carnivale, and eventually Tracy depending on where it goes.
On the “waiting to see” : Sylathan + Angela + Matt (because Sylathan itself was stupid but they deal with it pretty nicely), Claire because she is not as annoying as she used to be for a season and a half. Mohinder will be back, and frankly, I prefer them to use him less and well than to give him a stupid storyline (SpiderMohinder!).
On the bad : 90% of Hiro/Ando, because it’s time for Hiro to grow up (and I never liked Ando but it’s just me).

I was dreading the premiere but now I’m actually looking forward to where they’re going. Not exctasicly, but they gave me good reasons to stay on board for the moment.

Bad writing looks like it screws up a lot of powers. Worst of all are those three guys because it is hard to mess them up for real.
But I think that’s the bad writing that’s messing with Hiro. Nobody said he needs to be abused by all the villains per season as a weakness. I actually liking the dying thing. I thought Mohinder said that last season.
I think Maya can get her power back some other way. They bad write a lot of stuff to get people their powers back or take them away.

Peter didn’t get his power back, he had to inject himself in order to get a version of his power back. Baby Parkman gave Hiro his power back, so unless Maya got injected or hung out with the Parkman’s lately, she is still powerless. I do agree her power was pretty bad ass though. She could probably top Sylar with her power. you can’t compare her to HRG or Mohinder. She doesn’t have HRG’s balls (pardon the pun) or Mohinder’s brains, just deadly PMS.

maya’s power was taken by Arthur Petrelli, who took aswell peter’s and hiro’s power. Since both got their powers back, it is quite possible that maya gets her power back aswell. Her power is so creepy, would be a pity if that didn’t reappear…
Further, that someone is powerless doesn’t mean he’s useless.. look at HRG, Mohinder in the first 2 seasons, or even danko.

i could be wrong, but didn’t Mya get rid of her powers with that syrum Mohinder made? so she would be of no use to anyone other than eye candy.
as far as the Ray Park speed bursts, since they slow it down, you can still see him. you just know its in slow mo so he is really moving fast. i don’t know any other way they could give him a power to utilize his martial arts. someone did say teleportation which I wasn’t fan of until the opening scene of x-men 2 with night crawler in the white house.

I really do care about the good characters. I only think that season 3.2 left many things open (e.g. where micah has gone and what he’s doing, what mohinder’s father did in 1961 and how mohinder’s dealing with it), of which many new storylines could have been built… they could have done so much more in season 4, that’s why i’m a bit disappointed.

I totally agree that nathan should be gone forever, but… come on, we all know that sooner or later he will be sylar again..

Monica was great, maya was great too, but i really don’t know if they’ll come back… elle and isaac were great too, and they were killed without any good reason, just to drive people mad, so…

note: if my english sounds weird, it’s because I’m german

I think you’re disagreeing with me (I’m kinda stupid so bear with me) but it’s just one big ‘how?’ moment everytime someone gets the jump on Hiro for me.

It’s poor writing that he gets injured (continuity-wise) because he can avoid it just by using a fraction of his power in a fraction of a second. Unless he is somehow tricked or blind-sided he should never ‘just not’ use his powers. That’s what I mean by too powerful.

If he used his powers he’d be untouchable in the same way that Superman, realistically (hah, never thought I’d say that in a discussion about superpowers!), is nigh unbeatable because of his myriad of powers and so had to have a fatal weakness introduced.

I definitely agree with the suggestions that you brought up of who should go.

I think that if the show made the room for new characters, the show will definitely spark more interest. And also, if they brough back characters like Molly, Michah, and Monica. Those three I feel really has potential in this show.

And the 3rd sister between Tracy and Nikki should really come into play too (maybe that’s where Mohinder is, looking for Barbara).

I definitely agree that Nathan should stay dead and that Hiro’s story is running stale. I would like them to answer what Hiro’s dad’s power was.

Lol yea it was so hard to get to Hiro that he was knocked out, shot, tasered, power drained and other stuff from the start. I have to agree with the guy that said it, season 2 was it for Hiro. Then they made him lame again.
Sylar was beat a lot of times 2. He was only pure awesome in season 1 when it took forever to kill him but then he lost it all in 2 and went identity crisis ever since. I’m just hoping he’s really badass this season by being two guys sorta.

I think basically Peter and Hiro (maybe even Sylar to an extent) got nerfed for being too powerful. If you can stop time in a blink and teleport places you don’t even know then there really aren’t that many things can get to you…

Back on topic. It was okay, not wow. Just ok. Looking forward to it getting better as I get more invested in the Carnie folks during the season.

Got to agree that giving Park the power of speed-bursts pretty much does away with what he brings to the show which is awesome martial arts skills. Speed them up so we can’t see them, genius…

i like hiro, keep him around. killing off sylar would ruin the whole show for me. but i do agree that there needs to be some new characters. oh and peter needs to go back to his old days of badassedness. NOW!

tbh, i think some of u want more action and dont really care about anything else. and the opening scene shows us whats about to come, wasnt suppose to be anything AMAZING there.
and the scenes werent random. each character plays an important role for the story.

last season they were sloppy with things, i mean the rebel, micah. u knew that he existed half the season, but he appeared just a few times in the end and that was mostly it. but oh well

i agree, the episode wasnt superawesome, but it showed us whats about to come, and im really excited. and i hardly believe it will disappoint. it has had its ups and downs but this is a crucial season for heroes and i think they’ve come up with something pretty decent.

and with the dropping of characters, ehm im not sure, some like matt maybe. sylar kills him (a), but u cant cut of sylar. hes the most powerful in heroes, and hes awesome:D
yeah and hiro is childish,but i suppose (hope) he’ll become more tough in this season.
