If you were following our coverage of the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con then you probably caught my report on the Heroes panel, which featured cast and crew from the show coming out to promote the upcoming fifth volume/third season of the Heroes saga, titled (appropriately enough) “Redemption”.

Heroes indeed has a lot to redeem itself from (ridiculous story lines, shoddy scripts), and though last season’s “Fugitives” was a step in the right direction for many fans, it did not quite fully restore the show to its former greatness.

Now this trailer contains a lot of the footage that was shown at Comic-Con – but not all of it. It looks like some of the more SPOILER moments (read my review of the panel to see which ones I’m talking about) have been stripped away and only a vague idea of overarching story is provided here. The footage at Comic-Con was much more in-depth.

If you didn’t catch it in the trailer, two big names joining the cast season are Robert Knepper (”T-Bag” from Prison Break) as “earth-mover”/carnival ringmaster, Samuel; as well as Ray Park (a.k.a. Darth Maul, Toad, Snake Eyes) as a super-speedster henchman with a penchant for knife-throwing. Both actors attended the Comic-Con panel and their roles look pretty interesting to say the least. Park in particular has an awesome super-speed knife-fight with Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) in an upcoming ep.

Oh, and in case you wondering: all the footage shown in this trailer (and subsequently at Comic-Con) all takes place in the first 3-4 episodes. That’s a lot of action crammed into a little bit of time.

Heroes: Redemption premieres on September 21, 2009 @ 9/8c on NBC.

I really enjoy Heroes.. Season 1 was great... I didnt mind the second season (*awaits violent attacks*) I honestly thought Adam was a great character and that whole storyline with Peter and the virus and hiro in the past was remarkable...if not for the writers strike and the season being rushed I think it would have been as good as season 1.

However, the story with peters dad was just awful... horrible in my opinion.

Last season was GREAT truly excellent TV and im hoping this season exceeds it.

I agree with Daniel regarding Skyk1ng's comment.. grow up dude, you would really look forward to that??? I really wish they would kill Cliare off... she just annoys me

Regarding Heroes, I have a feeling this will be the last season. When Heroes first started, all my friends used to watch the show. But as the series progressed, it became confusing and repetitive, so a now i'm the only one that still watch it.

Skyk1ng You are the exact reason why we get crappy convoluted stories that make no sense. "What did some one say to girls are gonna kiss ? " Unzips pants "i'm watching this season." It's really sad that this is how pathetic our TV audiences have gotten. No wonder we can't get good shows on TV often enough.

Season 1 was cool, Volumes 2 and 3 sucked so bad I didn't even bother with Fugitives(I watched like the 1st 2 episodes and was done). I might give this one a chance, if worse comes to worse, at least we are gonna get some girl on girl action this season, that can't hurt.

When we can host videos or provide an embed that everyone can see we do. I'm not going to avoid posting a video if it's the only one available and it's only viewable in the U.S. So the suggestion is that if it can't be seen outside the U.S. we shouldn't post it at all so NONE of our readers will see it?

Seen the video and it looks pretty good, but then again so did last seasons preview for "Villains" and that turned out horribly.
Heroes has really dug itself a big hole over here and has introduced way too many unnecessary characters. It is stil salvageable but they will need to focus the story on 3-4 characters rather than 10-15. Peter, Hiro, Claire, and of course Silar are the popular ones and should be involved with every episode. I am glad to see that they have more action involved in the upcoming episodes and that Claire's father MIGHT die. We need BIG and PERMANENT things to happen in the show so it can create a buzz and the show itself can find its own "REDEMPTION", so to speak

If they revive Nathan Petreli again I WILL NOT WATCH THE SHOW

Hey Guys, If there was a video that DIDN'T have U.S. only restrictions then we would post it here at Screen Rant.

We are fully aware (and appreciative) of our International audience.

Problem is: right now only NBC seems to have the video so we can only post it through them. THEY don't play to international audiences. Has nothing to do with us.

Instead of beating up on us, perhaps the international readers can provide a link to a LEGAL video source that plays internationally? Otherwise we have to go with what NBC/HULU gives us.

Hulu vidoes can't be seen anywhere else but in USA, so us European guys can't watch it. Maybe in future you can avoid using Hulu so everybody on Screenrant can watch the video. Just a suggestion! Thanks.

Looks good. Fugitives was really well done and I hope they can keep up with those standards. Though sadly it looks like they are gonna drop the Nathan/Sylar thing way to fast. I was hoping to see that last awhile and slowly break away instead of rapidly.
