Rosario Dawson reacts to Hayden Christensen's reported return as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader in the Ahsoka Disney+ series. Following Dawson's live-action debut as Ahsoka Tano in The Mandalorian season 2, Lucasfilm and Disney announced that she'd headline her own show. Ahsoka comes from Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni, the latter of whom created the character for Star Wars: The Clone Wars and has transformed Ahsoka Tano into a fan-favorite character in the galaxy far, far away.

Ever since Ahsoka was announced, Star Wars fans have been speculating about which known characters could appear in the series. While most of the theories have focused on Star Wars Rebels characters debuting in live-action, some also hoped for an appearance by Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. It has now been reported that Hayden Christensen will return in Ahsoka, after doing the same for Obi-Wan Kenobi. Anakin and Ahsoka formed a close relationship during the prequel era as she was his padawan. Fans have been quick to express their excitement over Christensen's return in Ahsoka, and it appears the show's lead is just as excited.

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Rosario Dawson shared a photo of the original report about Hayden Christensen returning in Ahsoka. The post, which was captured by The Direct prior to its deletion, included a caption that shows Dawson's enthusiasm for Anakin's appearance. It read, "Skyguy, ...They know!!! See you soon, Snips." The caption is a reference to Anakin and Ahsoka's nicknames for each other in Star Wars: The Clone War. Check out a screenshot of the deleted post below.

Although the Ahsoka star likely deleted the post since Lucasfilm had not officially announced the news, it is further confirmation of Hayden Christensen's return and Rosario Dawson's excitement. Christensen and Dawson will now help bring Anakin and Ahsoka together in live-action for the first time, but it won't be the first time they've worked together. They attended the same acting school as teenagers and later co-starred in a movie called Shattered Glass in 2003. Christensen and Dawson haven't shared the screen since then, which likely factors into Dawson's excitement for Ahsoka.

Hayden Christensen's return in Ahoksa might not be confirmed just yet, but that could come very soon, especially since Dawson commented on the report. Disney is holding a special event in November called Disney+ Day that will provide updates on dozens of projects that are in the works for the streaming service. If Christensen's Ahsoka deal is signed by then, it will not be a surprise for Lucasfilm to confirm Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader is in the series. At that point, Dawson will be free to share her excitement as much as she wants.
