Harry Potter actress Emma Watson has recently gone in to detail about her relationship with her co-stars since the groundbreaking movie franchise ended in 2011. As many fans are certainly aware, the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was recently celebrated with a massive reunion streamed on HBO Max, titled Harry Potter 2oth Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. The reunion included many of the films' stars, including lead trio Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint, and every director to helm a film in the series. All returned to tell their Harry Potter stories, and reveal many behind-the-scenes secrets.

Many of the revelations presented in the Harry Potter reunion came from Watson herself. While the actress, who played genius Gryffindor student Hermione Granger, has gone on to have quite the impressive acting career (including playing Belle in Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast), many viewers still remember her as the actress who first took on the role of Hermione 20 years ago. Watson had many interesting tidbits to share during the reunion, including the details of her crush on co-star Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) as a young girl, and that she had briefly considered leaving the Harry Potter series.

During a recent interview with British Vogue to discuss the recent Harry Potter reunion, Watson was asked about her current relationship with her co-stars Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Grint (Ron Weasley), and whether they had a "group chat." Watson revealed that the three still keep in touch, though they do so "individually" rather than in a group text. Watson revealed that both Grint and Radcliffe hate apps like WhatsApp, and the three former co-stars tend to stay away from electronics, which has not helped with their "back and forth." Read Watson's full quote below:

"They both hate WhatsApp and their phones in general. Actually, as a three, we really try and stay off electronics so that doesn’t help for a massive amount of back and forth. We aren’t on a group chat but we speak individually. Rupert sends me pictures of [his daughter] Wednesday and I die. Dan and I generally try and calm each other’s nerves. We both mainly try and stay out of the limelight so it’s been nice to have each other’s support, knowing there was going to be another wave of attention coming."

Harry Potter Reunion

In comments that will no doubt delight many Harry Potter fans, Watson revealed that she does still speak to both Radcliffe and Grint on a regular basis. According to the actress, Grint enjoys sending her photos of his daughter, Wednesday, who was born in 2020. Watson also revealed that she and Radcliffe tend to correspond when one of them needs emotional support or their "nerves" calmed. She also said that the stars were happy to have each other's support, especially given the renewed avid Harry Potter fandon due to the reunion's release, since none of the three actors are particular fond of public attention.

Watson's answer is one that many fans want to hear, and it's very nice know that the three Harry Potter co-stars still share such a strong bond. In the aftermath of two incredibly difficult years, it certainly will lighten hearts to see that these relationships have lasted past the famous series that so many people literally grew up with. If anything has been learned from Watson and the reunion itself, no matter how dark things may seem to get, Harry Potter will always be there, ready to welcome fans back to Hogwarts — and clearly its stars feel the same.
