OMG this is a PERFECT point to halt the first movie! especially if u haven’t read the book… This will leave u at teh edge of your seat BEGGING for the last movie :’) I have read the book thoroughly and I told my friends about the cut there.. BTW they are definately doin the book justice to cut it there.. waaaaay too much detail to skip if u rush it into one movie.

I think if they would go just a little farther with the ending of Deathly Hallows #1 OH how do I do this with out giving so mush away to whom ever hasn’t seen it? Maybe ifthey would fade out the screen as Creature is peering out the window watching Harry pay tribute to a dear friend after they’ve reached Bill and Fleur’s… That would be cool I think. But there are so many Important scenes in the book that it’s gonna be so hard to fit all of them into even two movies. But I’m Sure they’ll both be great! We haven’t been let down yet.

At MxAxP, I don’t think Harry was happy in the 5th novel at anytime. He wanted to see his godfather, no one believed him about Voldemort, and Dumbledore didn’t talk with him much. Also Umbridge.

I just hope that they do something about the ending…if they tweek a bit they might be able to salvage teh final fight.

I am also curious to see if they incorporate the epilogue in the final film and if they do who will play the older Harry and the rest of the crew? I like Max Weinberg from late night with conan obrien playing the older harry hahah

I am looking forward to this, although I though that the best book so far was the 6th (half Blood prince) but i also thought that Deathly Hallows was pretty good. Only things that weakened it for me was the epilogue and the anti-climactic final battle with Voldemort. Otherwise the suspense is all there.

As for where they are splitting the two films I think that is the perfect point. It will leave people that havent read the book at the edge of their seats and eagerky awaiting the final installmment

Some of you lot are on crack. The final book was the best of the entire sries! A perfect ending and a joy to read throughout.

The film will have a hell of a hard time matching upto it IMHO.

I think it’s a great idea to split the moo-v’s. The fifth moo-v was terrible. Harry wasn’t happy once during that moo-v. He smiled once when Fred and George left but then got sad again. The moo-v was good… But I think they should’ve added Quidditch, at the very least. The seventh moo-v should be so much better because they have more time to fit every little detail in. They aren’t going to miss the important parts, and mite put in a couple of non-important details. Either way, I’m glad there are going to be eight moo-v’s instead of seven for detail-interest.

I know what you saying as the first part don’t really say much only the running part but that until the second part starts that we see real action and darkness.

For the fan I know they are going to be comfortable with both and they will be ease on it and the wait but for the ones that never read the book well they will be attacking the first part like mad crazy.

murdering the storyline… yea right guy its giving new breath to the movies by adding the most detail possible in the final chapter of the epic. Fans everywhere are rejoicing because this is what they all wanted. Books 4-6 easily could have been done in two parts but that would have taken sooo long. I feel it is def appropriate for them to do this last one in two parts to capture the emotion and despair of this final act. It will be great

I’ve read ‘em all, and I think breaking the last fim up sux bigtime! Make it into a 4 1/2hr movie if need be, but DO NOTTTTT break up this last story; it’ll lose all of the impetus, the rythm of the film story, and that’d be a lousy way to end such an amazing epic. The war is complex enough, and the search for the Deathly Hallows is vital here; don’t write these out like they did Dobby, Winky and half of book 4, “The Goblet of Fire”. But breaking up the final story would be like murdering the story line.

what the heck is that “luiparred” guy talking about ‘Deathly Hallows’ was fab! except the people who died wouldnt mind if they changed that. as for the split that point seems about right, although i wouldnt count it as as “cliffhanger” really, cos it’s about half way in the book. hope they do it right, sounds like they’ve already changed that scene though shame hope its not like that all the way through.

@ Andy… what commercials? The previews on television and in movies now are for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” not the “Deathly Hallows.”

As for the split… I would prefer Part I to be a movie in and of itself. The current split is going to make it seem like the only reason Part I exists is to get to Part II.

Just like “Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man’s Chest” only exists to lead into “Pirates of the Carribean: At World’s End.”

However it could work out for the best… my favorite Star Wars movie is “Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back” and, while it does have its own mini-plot, it really only serves as a catalyst to “Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.”

I guess it just depends on how much time the script spends with the first half of “Deathly Hallows” or if it merely leads to the cutoff.

the commercials were odd. why advertise it like its supposed to be a comedy about teenagers and gf and bf? had really nothing to do with the main stories
