Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 TV spot Revealing TV Spot for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

As if you need another reason to get excited for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Warner Bros. has released the very first TV spot for Part 1, which thankfully shows off some fresh footage.

After nine years and six movies we’ve finally come to this, the two-part epic finale of the most financially successful movie franchise in history ($5.4 billion worldwide and counting!).

Whether they felt they had to split Deathly Hallows in two because there was so much story that needed to be told, or whether they just wanted to double their profits (probably a combination of both), it means that fans will be getting more action, adventure and general wizardry before they have to say goodbye to the franchise forever (people seem to be a lot more forgiving of Harry Potter being split into two parts than they are of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn).

I personally don’t mind that we have to watch two movies instead of just one to find out what happens to Harry and Co., considering that I’m a solid fan of the franchise. All the trailers so far have looked pretty spectacular and this latest TV spot is no different. Watch it below:

While each Harry Potter installment has worked perfectly well as a standalone film, it nonetheless feels like the series has all been building towards this final chapter.

With the stakes now higher than ever – I have a feeling there will be less cozy scenes of young wizards settling back into yet another year at Hogwarts – and with anything seemingly possible, something tells me Deathly Hallows will be remembered as the general favorite of the franchise (Part 2 specifically).

If you haven’t already, make sure to check out the recent Deathly Hallows character-centric promo images and for a more SPOILERISH hint at what you can expect, check out an early fan review of Deathly Hallows Part 1.

Part 1 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows hits theaters on November 19th 2010, with Part 2 following next summer on July 15th, 2011.

  1. That was SWEET!!! I can’t wait for this.

  2. “Source: Youtube”

    You mean, Source: Mugglenet.

    • Naw more like, Source: Muggletube.

  3. man I cant wait

  4. It is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I loved every second!!!!

  5. I’m a huge fan, but that didnt do much for me at all. The films started losing their magic at OOTP and I hated HBP, I’ll go and see these obviously because I thought the last book was excellent. I can’t pretend the 3D isnt off putting, and before anyone pipes up and says “just go and see it in 2D if you dont like it”, try it. Try and see a big 3D movie in 2D. Nigh on impossible.

    • Not really, my theater still has that option so it is not impossible.

      • Well, its impossible where I live. And I said nigh on, not completely.

        • Where do you live anyway?

    • HBP was the most magical film of them all. Wonderful cinematography, pacing and character development. The symbolism and foreshadowing was excellent too. The best film of the series.

  6. After reading the Deathly Hollows, I have to say that its entirely appropriate to split it into 2 for the sort of character enrichment that really was going on in the story. Honestly I think the entire storyline of the book was rushed given that we evolve the teens well into adulthood as an entire shift of paradigm as a part of the Empire striking back…. errr.. you know what I am saying so that I dont have to say it right?

So in all reality it is the smartest move they could make … November… awesome… Deathly Hallows… absolutely… Final Chapter… maybe… spin off’s most definitely…. face it folks this is a universe in motion…

  8. Well this IS the final chapters i hope not though lol! Id see these forever and ever if they continued lmao!

    Have u read the book?!?

  9. It took me quite a while to finish the final book – work was always taking away any of my free time (well, work, and failing eyesight).

I finished it 3 weeks ago. And I have to say that it is one of only three books that have made me cry. In a way, I am stoked to see this film. In another way, however, I KNOW it’s going to be a very painful experience. If they do follow the book closely (and they have NOT been doing so, thus far, but who am I to complain), the end of Deathly Hallows: Part 1 will be a real tear-jerker.

    • What were the other two?

      • Stephen King’s “The Stand” (extended edition, with that whole middle section of “survivors who end up dying horribly”).

Juliann May’s “Milieu Trilogy” (the final part of a nine book series).

        • I have the extended version of The Stand as well… so good. I’m gonna have to read that again.

  10. Too bad I read the final book. It would have been more awesome if I didn’t read it. Still excited about this movie.

  11. @Jose

    • Wow, sorry to hear that you don’t have that option there.

  12. sam, im looking forward to it, still havent red the books et though(i know i know)the films take me back to how fun it was being a kid, they are enjoyable to watch.i thought after Harris’ passing it’d be impossble to find another person worthy of replacing him, Gambon has done really great.

  13. @ Jose

Some people think it’s an exageration, but when Clash Of The Titans came out, I checked all the major cinemas and one was showing it in 2D, but during the day when decent folks is a working.

And I don’t feel I should have to miss out on seeing the grand finale of HP on the big screen. And it’s after conversion too, so it will look awful.

    • The thing about the conversion though, is that maybe it will be better than other movies since they have had longer (almost double) of the amount of time any other film in post conversion would have. Maybe it will be decent, heck you might even find it late night in 2D.

  14. Anthony
Will u ever read the books? Come on man!

    • youve never seen the first 3 resident evil films? come one man!! :)

  15. Come one? Lmao!
Ill see if i see previous RE films if i like part 4….

  16. EPIC!!!!!!!!!!

  17. coming from someone who hasn’t read the books is solely a movie fan, i am worried that a lot of the action that is being shown in the trailers is actually from part 2…i suspect that part 1 is going to be a another “build to the climax” type movie that part 6 was…please anyone who had read the books or can correct me please do..

  18. Spin
Part 1 has ALOT of action and many characters die (especially in part 2) so itll be a tear jerker too. Its fantastastic Spin, you will love it.
