It's only the last chapter that's 19 years later, so it would be cheaper to use he bb technology rather than go through the lengthy audition processes, plus extra money on wages. They need new people for that scene anyway.

I reckon it's a great idea - however, the camping scenes were dragged a bit too much. I think if they did flashes at what was happening at Hogwart's while Harry and Co are bludging, that could spice it up.<br>Though, I'm probably just liking the idea as I have school for about two hours that day, then try and get into the movie before getting ready for my formal a few hours later :p

Ok guys dont get carried away!! To me it sounds like the greater part of the second film will be twenty years later so just having older actors would NOT work using the technology they used in begimin button sounds good to me as it was very good film
thanks.

I think that splitting the book into two films is the best way for it to end. I know this could be some way for WB to gain more money, but this i think is only their way of thinking. But I really don't know is how to start the film as the sixth film (as i have seen it (twice!)) did not have Harry ending it with Ginny Weasley. Don't get me wrong it was one of the best films that was more loyal to the book than the fifth one, but there are some minor set-backs as to how they ended the film to how the seventh is going to start. As for the split, it won't be at the part where Ron returns. It will probably be when they escape Malfoy's Manor as they are apparating away then it goes all dark and will be continued to the second part when Dobby dies. Finally I think using the original actors will be the best thing for it to end as it won't have the sense of completion otherwise and that's what all HP fans want is justice to this last and final book and for the directors to follow it as JK Rowling has written. But it doesn't have to be exact word for word, just enough for the book to be done justice.

First of all I would like to say thank you to J.K. Rowling and anyone else in association with the creation of the Harry Potter Series. My aunt purchased books 1-4 for me in April near the end of my 4th grade year. Before that point i was struggling in school, had post-partum depression, and was finding it difficult to even get through a day. That coming summer though, I began reading those books, and was finished before the start of the next schoolyear. That year, my spelling began to improve immensely, I made a lot of new friends, my social skills improved, I joined the math masters, basketball, and was in the spelling bee. Overall, i became a generally happy child. Now, I am 19 and attending Devry Keller Universty. I am an independent student, and I believe I owe it all to the Harry Potter series and with the movies I will now be able to share this wonderful experience with my future children at an even earlier age. Thank you.

I think that the splitting up of the 7th movie is one of the best ideas i've heard for a book/based series. But I believe if you used the styles from benjaminn button to age harry potter and friends in the last scene I think that would cause the movies to lose authenticity. They'll feel 'cheesy', if you will. The best possible choice, i think, would be this.

since it will no doubt be a short scene that will not require alot of acting, I think your first priority should be to find actors who look like the characters, acting quality and experience mostly set aside. Then assign them to read the books... at least the last 3. and watch all the movies. Just to study thier charaters. With enough study you really get to know the characters, and if the actors look enough like an older version of the characters then they will definately be able to make the viewer believe that they are.

I totally agree that they should make Deathly Hollows two movies. There is ALOT of details and answered questions in Deathly Hollows and if not all questions got answered then that would be the true thieving though a few of you seem to think WB only is doing it for the money. It may be a small factor but they really do need to make it into two movies for everything to unfold correctly. I like where they are choosing to end it though Joshi had a good idea of it ending right after Ron saves Harry, I liked the way he described it lol. I also agree that they should've made Goblet of Fire two movies and I even signed a petition for it but alas they did not but I still liked all of the movies regardless of what they left out. I LOVE Harry Potter and I always have since I read the first book and I plan to keep up and wait unpatiently for the second part of the movie hehe. I think the first part should be named Harry Potter and the Beginning of the Journey whilst the second part should be Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. As for the Benjamin Button technology, I think they should use it because it just wouldn't be the same without our beloved actors that already play those parts and they may not pick people that look enough like them and it would just suck and we want to perfect the 7th book and the Epilogue is rather important because it is the full closure of the series and who'd want that ruined?

You know, I think if WB wanted to "do the books justice" then they probably should have done that in the first place. Most of the movies vary so much from the books, or are such pruned down versions that it's laughable, I highly doubt they're going to start doing this one "justice" if they haven't been able to do it for the last five (possibly six, as it's yet to be seen). They're not bad movies, per se, but bad book adaptations (in my opinion) and I'll believe the "justice" they're doing by splitting this movie in two when I see it. For now, I think this is a cheap ploy to keep the Harry Potter brand name running as long as possible. I do hope I'm wrong, but if their previous productions are any indicator? I doubt I am.

I already gave hints at where I thought they'd split the movie, but just to be clear, I think the perfect place (well... one perfect place, there are many) would be when Ron saves Harry from drowning. If we don't see who it is, but simply a hand pulling Harry out of the pool, and then, after Harry has spluttered a bit, he looks up and we get a shot of Ron holding the sword in one hand and the locket in the other, that's our hero shot and that would be the perfect place to end the first film. It also gives the film a sense of things finally get back non track and things looking up, which is a good place to end as the first half of the book has everything pretty much going wrong with them.

That's just me though.

I hope they can expand this movie as much as the film makers think. Most of the book is wasted on pointless camping scenes, and if they adapt the battle of Howarts similar to the battle in the Order of the Phoenix, then it will definitely be waaay to short. I like the idea of two films to expand the story, but I'm just not sure if they picked the right part of the series to do it. Then again, it would be awkward to split any of the other parts in the series...it would feel incomplete. I hope they can pull it off. I think that it's funny, because the first director, Christopher Columbus, stated in an interview that they though about combining the first two movies into one, but it would ruin the series, and now they're planning on splitting up one of the adaptations.

I bet that the split will take place sometime around the escape from Nagini at Bathilda Bagshot's house in Godric's Hallow. It might also take place somtime around the area when harry follows the silver doe and finds the sword of Griffindor or when Ron returns. My las two theories might be when they escape from Xenophilius Lovegood's house before the Death Eaters come or when they escape (or get captured) from the Death Eaters at Malfoy Mannor. On the whole, these might all be great places for the first part to end. If it ended any earlier, then the first part would be completely taken up with the camping scenes, which would make it entirly boring (even though I would still love it). About the 19 years later part, it should be before the end credits, that way the story eases out a little better. If it were after the end credits, it would have the same effect that Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End had, which was not the best way to end the series. (Luckily, they're working on a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean right now)!
