Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 Trailer 2 Final Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 Trailer Packs A Punch

Take a breath to savor the moment people. You are not only about to watch the final trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, you’re about to watch the last theatrical preview for any film involving the boy wizard and his friends. Period.

Everything from the character posters to a short clip unveiled in advance of Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has been focused on the concept that film is THE ultimate conclusion to the fantasy saga. A number of the movie’s one-sheets don’t even feature the title – instead, relying on people’s immediate recognition of characters like Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) or even important supporting players like Neville Longbottom (Matthew Lewis), looking bruised and battered from the final battle against Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes).

As fans familiar with J.K. Rowling’s original Deathly Hallows novels know all too well, the end-all battle at Hogwarts between the forces of good and the minions of darkness isn’t the only big event that has yet to occur on-screen. Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will begin with Harry and Co. setting-off to find one of Voldemort’s Horcruxes within the walls of the heavily-guarded Gringotts Bank – an act that eventually leads Harry, Ron (Rupert Grint), and Hermione (Emma Watson) to return to their beloved Hogwarts castle.

From there, the battle to end all battles in the wizarding world commences. Enchanted suits of armor marching to war, Voldemort’s Death Eaters swooping about like puffs of black smoke, magical flames that take the form of gigantic dragons, wizards firing killing curses left and right – not to mention, multiple deaths, dark secrets revealed, and even some romance for those left standing. Deathly Hallows: Part 2 promises to deliver everything you could expect from the finale to a franchise that’s been going on for ten years now.

Without further adieu, here’s the second (and last) trailer for Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 (which originally debuted in HD over at Apple):

Those of you who got goosebumps from watching the first Deathly Hallows: Part 2 trailer are bound to have shivers running down your spine, after watching this preview. The contrast between the footage from earlier Harry Potter films and the haunting imagery from the series finale is quite effective, painting a ghastly picture of the doom and destruction that will reign down on Hogwarts – heck, even the Quidditch field is reduced to a pile of flaming debris!

On a slightly more serious note: Deathly Hallows: Part 2 should have just as much (and then some) drama, heartbreak, dazzling visual effects, and awe-inspiring action as any other entry in the blockbuster fantasy series. Based off the glimpses of some of the more emotionally-stirring moments in the film that are included in this last trailer – including Harry’s encounters with the “ghosts” of his parents and beloved godfather, Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) – there’s bound to be very few devoted Harry Potter fans that walk away from watching this thing that don’t shed at least a tear or two.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will arrive in theaters on July 15th, 2011.

  1. Your link only leads to the trailer I’ve already seen and a featurette. Is the featurette the trailer?

    • OK. That was AMAZING!!! I’m gonna go watch it again…

    • The link isnt working! :’(

      • Sorry Rickster – it should lead you right to the trailer now.

We’ll aim to host it in-site ASAP.

  3. What a journey it’s been…

  4. How long does it ussually take for the trailers from itunes to be set up in other websites?

  5. oh. my. god. that looks absolutely amazing. i am speechless. rickster….try the link now. you might just lose your mind.

  6. now that’s good stuff

  7. oh my god that was amazing!!!

  8. 1 word exceptional, wait 2 amazing, wait 3 astounding, wait 4 best thing my eyes have ever gazed upon.

    • Exactly how I feel!

  9. i literally can’t stop watching it. the part in the woods is making me tear up every time.

  10. Awesome trailer! By the way ScreenRant thanks for putting up the correct link so quickly! I was going insane looking for it all over the internet :D

    • Heh, no problem. I definitely understand wanting to watch this one ASAP. :-)

    • Seriously, screen rant is the best. They have everything Harry potter up before the actual Harry potter facebook!

  11. Im just afraid that my movie experience will peak on july15 nothing will ever ever ever be as good as these movies, i just hope im wrong but im afraid im not.

    • That’s the way I feel about the Lord of the Rings Trilogy..Nothing before or since compares to it IMO..

      • Well hey, atleast you have the hobbit coming soon!

        • Yeah!! Isn’t it great!!

      • Yeah you’ve got The Hobbit. There will NEVER be another Potter fan.
And I LOVE LOTR, but I haven’t been a fan for 12 years of my life. I don’t even know how to process this.

        • *film not fan :(

  12. Huh, I just realized I spent 15 minuted watching it over and over and over and over again. I should be asleep!

  13. Vic, the Green Lantern review coming today or tomorrow? Sorry Potter fans but I had to ask..

    • Totally understandable, I mean I was wondering about that so I emailed them.

    • Green Lantern review tomorrow.

    Thats the best trailer EVERRRRR

    sh*t I cried.

    • I agree. I mean really, that is the best trailer I have ever seen in my life.

    • Ahh Ricky..there’s no cryin’ on Screenrant.. ;)

I haven’t seen a Potter film since Potter 2 but that trailer was great!!

  15. Im sooooo proud to be a Potter fan. SO EFFING PROUD. Damn that was sooo good like sooo freaking SPECTACULAR. Ive seen it about 25 times. Im going to download it and post it everywhere. OMG. This is the END.

  16. Wonderful! I’ll try my bookworm best to not get too out of joint by the changes they’ve made (and that I see in the trailer already).

My husband is really leaning on me about this, to not ruin his experience (because he has never read the books) by complaining and bitching about the changes. So, I’ll suck it up and enjoy it for what it is: an entirely different medium. I hope lots of other people will do the same, and we’ll all enjoy this powerful, wonderful movie.

Depending on how it’s done and how authentically emotional I get regarding a few key scenes, this may supplant Braveheart as my all-time favorite movie.

However, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy will forever remain the pinnacle of filmmaking achievement to me. They are in a class by themselves. :)

    • “However, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy will forever remain the pinnacle of filmmaking achievement to me. They are in a class by themselves.”

On that point we could not be in more agreement..they are brilliant..I can watch them anytime, anywhere and always see something new that I hadn’t noticed before..

      • you and me both GK333

  17. Both trailers sent shivers down my spine.

  18. Seriously? 5 identical Voldemort yells this time? Way to break the record of the last trailer. By the end of this, Voldy’s yell will be more well known than the Wilhelm scream.

    Aside from that – I can’t wait!!!

  19. Sandy/Vic, is there any word on the supposed quality of the 3d for this one? About to buy advanced tickets for opening night and I need to figure out which I should go to. Recommendations?

    • Aside from the trailer being absolutely epic!

I am finishing the series the way it started, opening night in a regular theater. However, the second time I see it which will be around 10 hours later will defiantly be in 3D :D

      • This is going to be my first midnight EVER!

        • Midnight showing*

          • First one rickster!?!?! No way!!!! Its the best thing ever. Usually I cant stand when people yell and stuff during a movie, but it makes the midnight showing that much more fun and awesome! I can not wait! I’m going crazy now that I have seen that dang trailer!

            • yes Christi FIRST one… Ive been saving it for this! ITS GOING TO BE GOOOOOOOOD!

    • Well… the movie was post-converted to 3D…. and most of it looks to take place either at night or in dark interiors (beneath Gringotts Bank, inside Hogwarts, etc.), which generally does not work well with 3D… so, going off that, I suspect the 3D isn’t anything special.

      • yeah, but i will see it in 2D,3D and imax because its the last potter, i think everyone should do the same. billion mark here we come!!!!!!!

  20. OMG
Screenrant,U guys are SPECTACULAR. This trailer is probably one of the best ever. If the Oscars had a best trailer this would win hands down. I almost cried at the Resurrection Stone scene in the woods. I’m sooooo glad i checked you guy’s before i went to bed, I’m about to go watch it again.
*Side note*- Is the knight army in the book,i like them but i just dont remember reading about them.

    • That’s what I said about the woods scene! That part gets me everytime. And yes, remember mcgonagall telling the knights to defend the castle?

      • Yes, I remember now, i had to pull out the book as well lol. But that freakin scene left me speechless. i can not wait for this movie

    • yes they are in the book. :)

      • I wish some houseleves joined the battle.

        • LOL, Dont we all

          • Maybe they do! I hope they do!

            • I think the test screeners said no :(

  21. I shed a tear.
    Or two.

  22. Crying and Shaking Forever! I seriously can’t believe this is ending. My childhood is ending.

    • Agreed!

  23. Oh dear lord that was EPIC! I am really looking forward to it, only not at the same time, because I grew up with these movies. Each year there was a movie I knew I would love that I had to look forward too. Now I have no idea what I’ll do! I don’t want it to end, but I suppose it has to. :( This had better be the BEST MOVIE I’VE EVER SEEN.

  24. I’m kind of sad this is the end, but at the same time, I’m very interested in seeing how it ends! Oh the Catch 22!!!

  25. With every Harry Potter film released, I’m able to remember where I was or at what point of my life I was in.

Expecting tears since I couldn’t stop crying from the moment I opened the final book and putting it down a day after…

I couldn’t say there goes my childhood like most fans because I started reading the books when I was in college. Two bachelor degrees later–here comes the finale. It’s also a personal relationship with the characters (LOL) coming to an end, so it’s time to let go…

  26. There are NO adequate words…I can only say DEAR GOD…That was stunning.

  27. I am late to the HP movies… I began to watch them when the Order of the Phoenix was released and that was because I was asked to “fill a seat” because a friend had backed out of an already purchased ticket for that movie opening night. Awesome decision on my part for doing so because that evening I was introduced to an AMAZING fantasy tale I had no interest in before because I had assumed HP was merely a children’s saga. Long story short…. My Partner, little sister and I are ecstatic for the final chapter in the HP saga!!!! This movie looks WICKED!!!!!!!

  28. Great trailer. I’ll wait to see this and skip Green Lantern and Transformers altogether.

  29. The trailer was awesome, best one yet.

It’s been 10 years since the first one, wow that’s a long time so this may become the movie of the summer.
