More images from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 were recently released, feeding the fervor of anticipation amongst Potter fans. The November 19th release cannot come soon enough for many and Warner Bros has done a tremendous job of keeping fans engaged with a steady stream of marketing releases.

The Harry Potter franchise has featured nearly all of the British Isles most beloved (and eccentric) actors. In keeping with that tradition, the fabulous Bill Nighy (Underworld, Pirates of the Caribbean) joins the cast of The Deathly Hallows. Nighy who plays Rufus Scrimgeor, the newly appointed “Minister of Magic”, is seen here in a moment of solemnity with the films three central characters; Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and of course Harry Potter himself.

The Deathly Hallows finds the world of magic in a time of crisis. Chaos, fear and disorder rule the day as the Order of the Phoenix struggles against the rise of Lord Voldemort and his death eaters. Friendships, loyalty, and the will to survive will all be tested. A moment of tension between Harry, Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright) and Remus Lupin (David Thewlis) is captured here.

Each instillation of the Harry Potter series has brought the hero, young Harry, closer to his final confrontation. Of course that confrontation will ultimately lead him to face his longstanding enemy Lord Voldemort. However, like all truly great “Heroes Journeys”, his deepest confrontation is with himself. When Luke confronts his “enemy” in the cave in Star Wars he finds that it his own head that he must cut off in order to move forward and past his fear. Harry must also face himself. He must decide his own destiny, choose the type of man he wishes to be, confront his vision of morality and demonstrate his willingness to sacrifice his ego in order to pass through the gates of manhood. The theme of self confrontation is captured in the final image here.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 1 hits theaters November 19th.

Wow, I’m surprised they’re keeping the shard of Sirius’s mirror, wonder how they’re going to explain that? Unless its just a normal piece of a mirror?
Not sure…I think maybe it is just a regular mirror.
I hope so, great article too, especially the last part. Most people just plainly describe the photos but you went deeper, good job!
*Mild Spoiler* Its Sirius’s mirror, and hes trying to contact someone on the other side, and there actually is…
Harry’s probably going to find it when they hide out at Grimmauld Place.
Great article Roth.. I’m a huge Potter Fanatic and really looking forward to this next installment.
Thanks! Me too!
yeah tere doin enough to keep those that are alredy fans busy but if these films are expected to cross 1 billion they need to attract new audiences which they seem to be alienating at the moment
Im
it IS sirius mirror, but its not explain….
a huge,HUGE Harry potter fan,i think everyone knows this already lol! But that mirror wont be explained
SO it’s the mirror Sirius gave him, except that didnt happen in the films at all. Bit stupid.
Well they could explain it in this movie, just need a few lines or a flashback. But the previous movies were known for changing minor details.. maybe someone else will gives it to him. Guess will find out in a few months.
Rumor is he just finds it in grimauld place, siriuss place.
