Here you go, folks – courtesy of AOL.com we have the latest trailer for Harry Potter 6 (it is 6, right? I lose track).

Anyway, enough chit chat – just check out the trailer below:

[MEDIA=130]

I have to say… I’ve only ever read the first book and as far as the films go for me it’s “watch it once and I’m good,” but this thing is looking pretty damned epic. I still don’t see how it has garnered a PG rating – it looks as dark as the films that have come before. I think that just indicates a raising of the bar as to what constitutes PG-13 and now even PG.

So what do you think? Worth the wait?

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince opens on July 15, 2009.

  1. I don’t see the fuss about these movies. They all seem the same to me. I don’t know.

  2. I feel sorry for you Cat, i really do. These is the best movie series ever, and no they arent the same.

  3. *this

  4. while i dont think they are the best film series ever, but they have been gettin ALOT better since “the goblet of fire” and this one looks to be just amazing

  5. quoting ronald:
    “bloody hell”
these trailers just get better and better

  6. I’ve really been fascinated with how each director has approached the Harry Potter books one by one. This looks to be the best one yet.

  7. Holy.

    Sh*t.

    I’ve got nothing else, George.

  8. I haven’t really cared about the Harry Potter series. This looks good though. Really good. I love dark, serious, epic movies.

  9. looks great. I stopped reading after the 4th book (goblet of fire) because it was getting too ridiculous how many ppl/objects were out to kill Harry.

I’ve enjoyed the movies so far though. The first book isn’t really very good but the movies like the books get better and better with each one (although I thought the 3rd movie felt rushed).

Without any competition in the fantasy genre, Harry Potter will do well. Can’t wait to see the last few films.

  10. Perhaps you should read all the book then Vid. The 7th is by far the best and thats why they have decided to split it up into 2 different films so they dont miss anything out.

All the other films are brilliant and this one looks even better i cant wait for it too come out!!

  11. I’ve said it many times before, the Harry Potter series is very complex in nature. It started as a very simple childrens’ series but evolved in a very unique way. The series grows up as the main characters grow up. We begin the series with a few innocent children and the story is really seen through their eyes. As they age and mature so does the story itself. By the end of the series it’s no longer a children’s tale but a full blown epic that readers, who invested the time, were very well paid off with. Do yourself a favor and force yourself to read through about book 4 and then proceed into the “grown up section” of the tale. It evolves and is well worth the time invested. As far as the movies…….. well they’re decent but nowhere near as good as the books. The books become so long in length that much of the information is cut from the movies which leaves them a bit…. eh just another movie. All in all i’m looking forward to the next movie and the rest of the film series.

  12. Well well well…why the PG rating? Without slinging a severe spoiler for those who didn’t actually finish reading the series I’d have to say that it would be because of a particular Murder that will occur.

  13. Currently i am in the middle of the 7th book and have to agree that some i had to force my self through, but the character development and evolution of there surrounding enviroment is amazing. The universe that Rowling has created spectacular, and the movies are progressing in the same manner.

  14. omgomgomg

    amazzing!!!!!!!

    freaking snape is so sexy.

wow. this was my fav book and this will be the best movie despite the rating of pg. wow. this looks epic. :D

can’t wait. under 3 months left

  15. Loved it!!!!!

  16. Seriously, for me this is my most anticipated movie of the year, and yes it looks really epic. I’ve read all of the books and I have to say that this is my favorite one. For all of us that loves this saga, having to wait 8 more months for this movie have been a nightmare. But I hoe the wait is worth it. Even if it’s not a good adaptation of the book, the changes could work this time. There’s only one thing I don’t like: that PG rating…

  17. When I was young if a film had a hint of violence it was pg.If it had more than a hint it was PG-13.But now it seems you can have hundreds of people on a bridge and the bridge flip and people possibly dying and it gets pg.Now Im one of the biggest HP fans out there but I wish this was PG-13.

  18. Yeah, that and the dark imagery really has me scratching my head at the rating.

    Vic

  19. That scene where Katie Bell is lifted into the air and is screaming is a very scary moment for a film rated PG. I am a huge fan of the books and the films. This movie seems to be getting people’s attention who otherwise have never wanted to watch a Harry Potter movie before. Also the effects in this movie seem to be spectacular. This looks EPIC.

  20. DAMMMMM

  21. thar ar al gret to se looking forwd to the next one?

  22. loking forwd the next one thar rely good

  23. its true this movie is pg-13 im sure (i hope)

  24. @rod

As far as I know it’s PG. Although it certainly looks darker than that.

    Vic
