I think we need to start a no harlem shake petition to give to screen-rant, we are getting sick of it, and we would kinda like something else,

I agree and usually dont sign those things but this time I would make an exception.

It brings nothing to Screenrant. Its 15 mins is over and I do not understand the appeal of it nor do I see the need to have it here.

“Welcome to Screen Rant’s “Geek Picks,” where we collect the finest movie-related geekery from around the Web for you.”

      How is Harlem Shake movie-related?

There’s four Harlem Shake videos out of eleven geek picks. Is it too much trouble to scroll past them? Some people enjoy watching them.

just think there might be other stuff they could track down, I for one think it would be cool if they tracked down an evolution of the iron man armor that has all the armors from the original tales of suspense tin man to today’s armor, to all the interesting ones inbetween like the silver centurion, or the modular armor, to the retro armor or even the odd aqua-armor, to the teen time-slip armor from another time line. now THAT would be cool, rather than another harlem shake video. or how about the many suits of Henry Pym? wouldnt be huge, but if you included the people who took up his alter-egos after him, that would be interesting. just a thought.

or even the evolution of the hulk, he has developed over the years

OK lets say they do that. It would not be smart to post that on a Sunday, when more than likely you get less site and post hits. Wouldn’t you save something like that for a weekday with more eyes to see it?

If I wanted pop culture or annoying videos I wouldn’t expect to come to a site dedicated to movie news/reviews to see them.

While it is not a problem it has nothing to do with movies which is what this (portion) of the site is dedicated to.

Im sure you don’t come here looking for Harlem Shake videos. I come here looking for movie news movie related stories.

The SR Geek Picks have never exclusively posted nothing but movie related things though. I agree the “movie related geekery” in the description is misleading but viral and funny videos have always been posted along with the usual movie/TV related things.

+1 I agree. I mean seriously they’re like 30 seconds long and are pretty awesome. “President Obama” was gettin down in that last one lol. Ya I don’t see any harm being done, especially when a person can just scroll past them. Not everything on the Geek Picks are movie related but most of these picks are entertaining enough IMO.

I don’t get how it’s enjoyable to watch the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over

Yes, but for the last two or three “SR Picks”, they’ve shown two or three “Harlem Shakes”…WHY?

Yeah. This whole “Harlem Shake” thing sucks.

I however loved that Nasa Gangnam style vid. (I still love psys video)

And just because it is popular on the net/youtube doesn’t mean it is movie related. If I wanted that I could go other places.

I want movie related stuff from Screenrant.

Some of this stuff being posted recently is very borderline movie-related.

You know, if you don’t like Harlem Shake videos (especially the excellent Happy Endings version), you could always…I don’t know, NOT WATCH IT. There. Problem solved. I’m sure Screen Rant has the right to post up whatever Screen Rant likes on the website called Screen Rant lol. Time to get over it people. It’ll be gone when something else comes along. Wait it out.

I dont go to Burger King to get a Big Mac some people might expect that however I dont.

They have no place being here this is not a pop culture site.

However you are right and I don’t have to watch them but that ability does not preclude me from voicing my opinion about them just like you.

      @nevar

I “nevar” watch any of them, but I still don’t like seeing them here, since I know they are taking the place of something that might actually be creative and cool to watch and not just killing brain cells. I know we live in a generation where brain cell killing things like the Kardashians, Jersey Shore, and other retarded ass reality shows is what people like, but I would have hoped this website would be above that…

Am I the only one that decided to watch the “people are awesome” video instead of b****ing about the Harlem Shake videos? I don’t like them, but who cares! No need to argue.

Anyway, that “People are awesome” video was freaking amazing! The only unfortunate thing is that for every epic success there are ten failures, lol
